A versatile blade for slicing veggies and fruit, trimming poultry, and cutting through slabs of meat, the Apogee Dragon 10-inch chef’s knife is a go-to for any cook. With its longer cutting edge, you can keep the tip of the knife down on the board for a fine mince on herbs and spices, too. For this drop, we’re pairing it with the 9-inch serrated bread knife, a killer combo to help you prepare any meal. The bread knife has a special reverse scallop edge that won't tear what it cuts. This allows it to cut bread and cake with minimal crumbs. It also allows it to be used as a meat slicer as well, making it a real all around slicer. The blades on both knives are made from nitrogen-enriched, wear-resistant CTS-BD1N steel. Hardened to 63 on the Rockwell Scale, they’re designed to hold an edge over time. The contoured handles are made from black linen micarta for a sure grip. Holding it all together are stainless steel rivets and a polished stainless steel end cap. Both knives are made in the legendary knifemaking capital of Seki City, Japan.
