When you think of Aragon, you think of dive watches with robust cases and high water-resistance ratings. However, the company is doing big things in other areas of watch design, too Read More
Trying to reason through the logic of calling the Aragon Caprice a "Pilot's Watch"
Could it be those puny little twigs they've employed as Hour and Minute hands?
Could it be the way the textured dial tend to overpower those same anemic little hands?
Could it be the cockpit-like arrangement of hard to read day and date complications?
Or might it just be the way the case diameter mimics the proportions of of a C-17 Globemaster?
Buy this watch. I have several direct from the manufacturer and one from DROP. Great watches and at a great price. The watches are great durable and Wing is a great watch designer. Check out there site as well (aragonwatch.com). They are big watch - not usually small. This is a quartz and will be my first from them as the others are all automatics using tried and true movements. The quartz is also using a tried and true Ronda movement. The bands are great - fit and finish are great. Buy, Buy, Buy .. highly recommended. Based in Florida and they have a ton of celebrities purchases watches from them. Pricing will usually go up later on and some become sold out models.
wizzardp1I agree, really solid well made watch from a U.S. company, if you like large watches.Seriously considering the divemaster 42mm in black. Black Friday Sale started today at Aragon. For he dollar a lot of quality bang for your buck.
Aragon's watches are solid and very much value for money. This particular model is definitely not to my taste, but I have four and all are great, smooth functioning movements and very well finished. I agree that I don't understand why an exhibition caseback for a quartz, but there you go. If you're not a fan of big watches, their Divemaster 42 is excellent and worth a look.
Yes this watch has been much cheaper from Aragon direct, although right now asking $400 usd.!! and they send it straight away. But $25usd. international shipping; Drop is usually less than $10 usd. Not an ugly duckling , but for this average wrist person just 5mm too large diameter. And yes why the exhibition caseback!! Not alone as Bulova did this on one of their Curv variety, but not a real selling point. I have seen this movement configuration on some "Zeno Basel" watches , and they were asking a lot more money. May have taken a chance on the red dial, as there is a limited choice on this colour around. If you like and don't want to risk waiting for the price to drop at Aragon then not a terrible buy. Shame it is not the Divemaster 4,42mm dia ,ceramic, bezel, sapphire, seiko auto etc . and just 42mm, currently $139 usd. at Aragon; shame about the shipping cost.
Blue one is really nice looking. I’d buy but the holidays are coming and nobody but me likes watches in the household so can’t even gift it.
Just noticed the 48mm thing. A little large for me too.
