Umm... actually could just be me but I don't like the design of this thing either. I mean when it's on that guy's back in the picture on the description page, all I could think of was "awkward" and "uncomfortable." Like something about it just doesn't quite look right to me. Looks tacky or something.
And yeah considering you could get a high quality Swiss for like 40-80$.... paying 200$ more for "style" (which imo this doesn't actually have any) is a bit much.
This price is batshit insane. I'll be amazed if any of these sell at all. I was interested at first glance, and I might have paid something like $50 + shipping, but $250? Haha.
waxed canvas is indeed a great material (got a great riding coat made out of it myself), but i was trying to say that it becoming a "hip" material means (not always justified) higher prices...
though this company may very well put a lot into production that i do not know about which causes these prices to be needed to cover costs... maybe they pay living wages to all employees, or only use sustainably harvested materials grown in their backyards
JasrilPer their website, they use "best-quality materials" that are "always Made in USA" (except for their hardware). Maybe it *is* grown in their backyards! ;-)
