This is a Swiss company continuously operated for over a century, but in recent years managed by an Italian guy, with design offices in Italy. They concentrate on the European market, like a lot of German watchmakers. They were mostly known throughout their history for supplying eloaborate, high-quality movements to other companies.
Their line of $2,500-$3,000 list price divers is interesting: 300-meters with rotating bezels, but they don't look like divers at all, thanks to the Italians.

CloacaThey are interesting, another one that we seldom see in the US West despite a good reputation and small independent cont. Operated is West End Watch Co, they focused on an AD network in India, middle East, and Western China, the Lowar automatics are intriguing , they never focused on an AD or advertising in US, much like Felca /Roamer, and Titoni They have a more recent release of traditional but attractive Divers

CloacaOne thing I like about the Armand Nicolet diver series is that they all have only a 12 and 4 on the watch face. Most companies would figure, "No room for any other numbers than 12 and 4? Then let's just drop all numbers and go with indices everywhere." Not Armand Nicolet. The 12 and the 4 stay. You get the feeling that Nicolet's birthday might be December 4. And in truth, there is plenty of room for more numbers, say 10 and 2. Why just the 12 and 4? That's the mystery of Armand Nicolet.
