What a joke of a company. Won't stand behind their products, which aren't durable whatsoever, constantly breaking. Calls anyone who criticizes their product "trolls" and treats their customers like trash.
If you want a durable tritium watch, go buy from Marathon or Luminox. Companies that actually stand behind their products and don't openly treat their customers like trash whenever the blatant flaws of their products are exposed.
I regret buying an isobrite, and then forking out money multiple times in the first year to ship it to their Florida repair shop which was incompetent at best. Now it sits in a drawer and I wear other watches that I know will hold, and on the chance they don't, the company will actually stand behind their product.

Understand your frustration mate and thanks a lot for your feedback. Some companies are oblivious to the mental torment they do to their customers because they think their watch is worth so little to produce they are not bothered to service you, on the other end, customers spent a lot more to purchase. For them, its easy to label someone troll. For the average consumer, every time you open that drawer and sees that crap, you can only get angry. Everyone in this community should stop buying from brands like these. "A manufacturer is not through with his customer when a sale is completed. He has then only started with his customer. In the case of an automobile the sale of the machine is only something in the nature of an introduction. If the machine does not give service, then it is better for the manufacturer if he never had the introduction, for he will have the worst of all advertisements-a dissatisfied customer." - Henry Ford

MonarchcoI Feel your Pain.I had a similar experience with Laco about a Year Ago.I bought a Laco Flieger(Automatic)That was listed at 325.00.Turns out they made a Mistake and showed the Quartz Version Price With The Automatic Pictured. The Automatic Sells Around a Grand.I thought it was their Fault in not having their Sh*t straight.Needless to say,They didn’t honor the Deal and it took me about a month to get my money back because they kept trying to push the Quartz on me.Some Of These Big Watch Companies Could Care Less About us Consumers and just about turning a buck.I Ended Up getting a B-Uhr for 175.00 on eBay.Hope Everything works out for you Mate.

$349.99 for a disposable quartz movement? the right price for this watch is $34.99 .
Hi PabloTex, we're working with Massdrop to try and schedule the mid-size. We're getting so many requests from the Massdrop community for that model so we'll have to make it happen!
You explained the troll situation so perfectly! These individuals desperately need an outlet to share "personal opinions" behind the safety of a computer screen. Thankfully, these individuals make up just a TINY part of the amazing Massdrop community. Plus, the discussions feature of Massdrop is truly an extremely valuable tool for the Massdrop community as it allows brands and customers to connect directly. Over the years we've been able to answer so many important questions and connect with so many amazing individuals.

My quirky sense of humor finds the idea of a watch that you can't read in light (well, maybe you can since the tritium tubes aren't black) but which is legible in the dark to be appealing. This could be a great sleeping watch for the nearsighted or those with presbyopia. I'm in the market for something like that.
The problem I have is not with the fact that it's quartz, but rather with the fact that it's a quartz watch costing $335.

Although there is some "tacticool" marketing involved, ArmourLite/Isobrite has established a pretty good rep with the military because they make tough watches and back them with great customer service. If I really need a stopwatch/timer or triple-sensor functions (primarily the altimeter) in the field/backcountry, then I'm wearing a G-Shock - but it can wear like a hockey puck. These Isobrites may have a relatively large diameter, but will slide under a sleeve much better and the Tritium lume really is nice at night. Where they really "shine" over similar Luminox products is with the build quality / durability and customer service (reading the reviews, it's like night and day). Sapphire crystal is great for a watch that's going to take some abuse, and the T100 is a fantastic upgrade. How much you value those things, and how applicable they are to your intended use, will determine if the price is right. I wish I could get my hands on one of the 1st Armored Division special editions, as I have some history with the unit.
idoc72Dear idoc72, please email us at verify@armourlite.com about the 1st Armoured Division watch. We had run out of it a few times but we just finished making some more.

Hi. I'm new to Massdrop but I like the principle already! I'm interested in this watch. Can experienced Tritium users please give an indication of life expectancy or half life of the lumosity? Obviously conventional 'lighting' decays quite dramatically - can anybody quantify the difference? Thx from Oz.!
Hi Jef8770, yes, when the time comes to replace the tubes you can send the watch to our service center and the dial gets replaced with a new one with fresh new tubes.

ArmourLiteHow often do most customers get this done? I know the half life of tritium isotopes are around 12.3 yrs, but vary based on the color, with green being the strongest.

@ArmourLite Automatic Automatic Automatic Automatic Automatic Automatic Automatic Automatic Automatic please. Im in south Florida. You already have a key demographic clientele that will buy these, but they will also go for a more upscale automatic. You can take all of Ball’s market share. You can get the SII NH35/6 or myota 9000 series from the same vendor you use for quartz. Please do it and/or hire me to help.

Excellent! Not a big fan of Miyota winds-in-one-direction-only automatic movements and much prefer NH35 dual-winding-direction automatic movements.
NonyaThat's one of the reasons we went with the NH35 over Miyota. We had some models with Miyota in our early days but they weren't as impressive as the NH38 and NH35.

This looks like something a cop would wear. 🙄🔫
LarryTWe're very proud to have law enforcement all over the world wearing this every day. The stealth black look makes it ideal so that it doesn't draw attention when in uniform.
So this is more of a review: I got this watch in late 2016, and it still looks new. The battery is still chugging along. I've had zero problems with this watch. The comfort is great due to it being light weight, and 3 wrist straps that come with the watch. I've worn this everyday, and not a single scratch on it. I've banged this watch into walls, doors, desks, and dropped it on the floor, and it has no signs of damage. This watch is so stout, I worry about damaging what ever I hit with this watch. The loom is easy to read with the 12 o'clock marker being a different color. With everything being all black, its a subtle watch that does not stand out. And that's the point of this watch really. It just works, without being flashy. It's not meant to draw attention to itself. Come rain, snow, sleet, or sand, this watch works. The only thing I can see making this watch better is making it solar. That and a screw down crown. But that's just me being picky. Not like I'm building watches for a living. I'd still buy it again if I had to, but I really don't think I'll have to. Hope this helps!

It's almost as if those asking questions about the tube life, are asking their questions without reading the responses first!
ArmourLite is the manufacturer, and they have answered this question twice in this discussion thread.
People need to read the responses before posting a new question.

In one the other replies ArmourLite has said: "based on the factory report, these tubes were made in Switzerland in Q4 of 2015". Hope that helps!

StevenCook17Thanks, steven! I'm really tempted to get one of these, especially knowing the tubes have their full life remaining....

It is cheaper on Massdrop, but not by much. Isn't this the same watch? https://www.amazon.com/Isobrite-Eclipse-Orange-Tritium-Polyurethane/dp/B00JEFB9AW

Will there be any option to change the color of the tritium vials at purchase through Massdrop? I really like blue and orange version...
imprezionsHi imprezions, for this particular sale we are only offering this green/orange color combination. Plus, as a benefit, the green tritium markers in this model are visibly brighter than the ice blue markers in the other Eclipse model. With green tritium markers glowing at 100% visible brightness, here is a chart outlining the different levels of visible brightness based on color:

With that in mind, you're definitely getting the ultimate in visible brightness with the model we have on offer here.

I think everyone has different opinions on what a quartz watch should be worth and that's fine, but I want to say that there is more to a watch than it's movement. With this watch in particular, you are buying the T100 tritium lumed dial, and the durability of the case among other attributes. Look, I bought an Orient Symphony II off Massdrop for $100. It has automatic Miyota movement. Do you think this Isobrite watch is worth less than that watch because it is quartz? If this Isobrite watch was automatic and not Quartz, it would probably be in the $700 range, so I'm fine with it being quartz.
