I know there's probably someone who already asked this and I won't be the last but HD 6xx how does it compare to a Schitt stack thanks

HtotheGMuch better, even with the stock tube. I've compared it to a Schiit Modi+Magni combo a few years ago and it was simply more musical and natural sounding. It competes well even against Schiit flagships. I've also got an O2+ODAC stack, it sounds better than them too!
They've since made incremental improvements to the T1 which I assume are even better now! When people ask me what the best DAC/Amp is under $300 I will always say the Aune T1 :)

JackulaI've been trying to find reviews / comparisons between T1 & Schiit Stack, and most of them favor towards the T1. Planning on getting into this drop to go with my HD 6XX. Care to share your "incremental improvements"? :) I'm trying to get an idea on how much that would cost me down the line.
Thanks in advance.

NightFuryFrom memory, mk2 had an improved USB controller that allowed asynchronous mode, which reduces the jitter compared to the original mk1. In mk3 (MD's current offerings), they upgraded the output stage (more power) and now has a orange LED instead of a blue LED.

JackulaThanks! I was wondering if you made any, like replacing tubes and such. Would I have to change the stock tubes on the Aune T1 MK3 to better ones, or are the stock ones good enough for a 650 / 6XX?

NightFuryThe stock tube, Electro Harmonics are a good match for the Aune T1. Tube rolling works quite differently for the T1 because it's a tube buffer, not a tube amp. Some of my best tubes works absolute horribly with the T1. Gold Lion or Amperex 7308 are popular alternatives, but they didn't work for me, I found the stock tube the better all-round tube.
