IMHeadHunterIt's driverless. It'll work with any OS.

dorkThat's no true lol. Don't throw out comments if you don't own the product.
The Aune X1 Pro is known to have problems with its USB controller. There are more issues with it on Windows 8.1 than on Windows 7.
So @IMHeadHunter If you're running Windows 8.1, then you'd want to use optical out from your motherboard (assuming you have one, since most motherboards these days do) and go straight to the Aune X1. That's the best fix I can recommend for this otherwise solid DAC/Amp combo unit.

benbenkrThank you very much for your respond. However, if you look at this website
http://schiit.com/products/modi-2
"many optical transmitters cannot output 24/176 and 24/192 reliably" I don't know if my motherboard
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/SABERTOOTH_X58/
Can "output 24/192 reliably".

benbenkrThat's a hardware problem. It works with any OS regardless. I have an X1 Pro, plugged into a Debian based OS and it runs just fine. Same on Windows 10 Tech preview. The suggestion on optical out, though, is a good one regardless.

IMHeadHunterDo you need 24/192? Anything above 44.1kHz is just placebo.
