liteon163Have you ever been on Massdrop? That is not an unusually long wait time.

liteon163I blame Amazon and that damn fangled 2 day shipping. ;)

CokemanYeah, I've purchased four items here. This one seems to be fairly long, although not as long as the Fostex TX-0. That was an actual special order, though, so I can see the long lead time. This, however, doesn't seem that "special," aside from the lower price.

Hitman101Back in the day, the slowest shipping was for items ordered from the back of a cereal box. Six to twelve weeks. This seems to be about the same. ;-)

liteon163I was in the last drop for this X1s and it shipped way before the estimated ship date so they may be over estimating.

ImprobabilityI hope so. Still on the fence with this one. Looking to replace my PC sound card, a Sound Blaster Z, with this.

liteon163I have the Soundblaster X-fi and the X1s sounds amazing for music but I haven't tried it for gaming yet so I am not sure if can completely replace my sound card. I just got it a couple days ago so I haven't played with it enough yet. My guess is it will not have much support for positional audio so if you are mainly gaming then I would keep the Soundblaster.

Cokeman$290 shipped (AUD) compared to $370 locally and all I have to do is wait a little? Rather save money and wait, I find the weird shipping schedules on Massdrop exciting cos I never when I might receive it. It says April, but that didn't stop my Pok3r shipping the next day or my HE4XX'S shipping two months early. ELA'S change but the wait is worth it at this price, at least for me in Australia.

TazorYeah this seems like a good deal for us Aussies, not many options here.

TazorI did the same, worth the wait if it means putting 100 or so to the next upgrade down the track.

WilliamBFor Australia, the 220V version will work?

Ashw99Has not arrived yet, should get in a day or two but I can let you know. Going off past experiences with US electronics things rated for 220 work with just a good quality converter. I use one to connect to a us power board that has surge protection.

Ashw99Using a super basic and cheap EU to AU Adapter for the last 4 hours and no issues yet on AU Power, going to buy an EU Power board off ebay and better adapter to make it better I think.

WilliamB The Australian standards state that a variation of up to 12% of supply voltage from the energy supplier is acceptable (dunno if that's changed now though). The 'official' voltage for Australia is now 230V AC (from 240V a number of years ago). So the 220v should be fine, bar maybe some slight additional heat.
