Each spool is made from 40wt high-sheen premium trilobal polyester thread in Germany. Unspooling to 3280 yards, the 40wt thread has two to six inches variation length between colors. Perfect in weight for piecing, quilting, and precision work, the polyester thread is colorfast, lint-free, durable, and experiences fewer thread breaks in comparison to thread made from cotton. It also doesn’t stretch as much as cotton thread so the possibility of looping and puckering problems are significantly reduced.
