Italian for “dawn,” Aurora was founded in Turin at the end of the First World War. Indeed, it was the dawn of a new era for battle-weary Italy. That was 1919. Today, the company still occupies the factory it was founded in. And while much has changed over the last 99 years, the quality of Aurora’s pens has not. With the Aurora 88 fountain pen, a legendary design from the ‘50s returns. The brainchild of designer Marcello Nizzoli, it’s available here in four styles that combine glossy black resin, pinstriped sterling silver, and gold. Each one features a postable cap, a cartridge/converter filling system, and a 14-karat gold nib.
Note: At checkout, choose black and gold (base price), black and chrome (+ $15), black and sterling silver (+ $150), or sterling silver (+ $220). You’ll also have your choice of nib size from 10 different options. See checkout options for more details.
