thinking about committing... just gotta read up on reliablity... i wanted one of these when they were first announced to get back into RC, but debating on just going 1/10 scale instead.

DogeatdogworldThey're reliable if you replace all the electronics. I know typically you only hear from people having issues and not the hundreds or thousands having good experiences, but I've heard too many stories of them breaking right out if the box. And certainly breaking if you try to upgrade the servo. Crappy servo and unreliable receiver/ESC combo. Otherwise everyone says it's amazing with real electronics.

MisterKrazeehow easy is it to find better/more robust parts, and then to install them? (first time looking at one like this)

SneakyFoxIt's actually quite easy. Picking out what you want will be the hardest part. It's really just limited by how much you want to spend. There are a couple threads on RCCrawler.com pertaining to this. One for the electrical issues with some good info and another that's about actual upgrades.

SneakyFoxthey are brand new, this means there are little to no aftermarket parts. Given a few months most hobby shops will carry replacement parts and aftermarket parts
