Designed in New York City, each Apprentice pocket notebook is a reflection of the community that’s shaped it since day one. That’s because Baron Fig prides itself on treating its analog products like it would digital ones, continuously taking feedback and iterating the design. The result is gorgeously understated and highly functional, with smart page dimensions, long-lasting paper, and a lay-flat design—so you have more room to draw, write, and diagram.
Note: This drop includes three 3-packs (nine notebooks total) in Flagship Gray. At checkout, you’ll have your choice of paper for each pack: Dot Grid or Ruled.
Containing 48 pages of acid-free paper with rounded corners, the Apprentice pocket notebook performs well with a range of writing instruments and can be archived safe from degradation. Intelligent adjustments to size provide more usable space, and six perforated pages at the end of every book mean you don’t have to ruin your binding to remove a sheet. The flexible cover is designed to twist, bend, and take a beating, and complete with stitched binding in sunshine yellow.
Baron Fig started as a project between friends who believed they could improve the functionality, versatility, and construction of the everyday notebook. The name refers to the Greek gods Apollo (who represented discipline) and Dionysus (who represented impulse), and the dichotomy of the two as they relate to the creative process. “Baron” is derived from the Apollonion symbol for “soldier,” and the fig is a well-known symbol of Dionysus.
