Hmm...this is the first self-articulating headphone stand I've seen. It looks like due to the flexibility of the top portion and the weight of your headphone, the contact area self-adjusts and spreads the contact pressure out so less chance of putting a crease/indentation in foam-cushioned headbands. Good use of the concept pointed out by @chilofthehorn below.
Price is personal and subjective and so is value. Can one of you who commented that the price here is too high make some with better wood and charge way less than here? I'd be first in line to buy 2!
