In the world of raw denim, there’s almost no objection to the assertion that Japan makes some of the best in the world. From the mills dying and weaving the fabric to the artisans sewing it, Japan has perfected what was once among the greatest American exports and turned it upside down, offering unrivaled attention to detail.
We were blown away to find that Benzak Denim Developers (or BDD), a fellow denim lover based in Amsterdam, had been producing beautiful jeans at Japan Blue Co. It's one of the most iconic and quintessential denim manufacturers in Japan, responsible for brands like Momotaro, Neighborhood, and its own Japan Blue.
The styling on these is great, a true tip of the hat to classic American denim, with Japanese construction and European sensibilities. We couldn’t be more stoked to introduce them to our community.
Sizing-wise: We found these to fit very true to size. Fit is great for folks who like a straight tapered look that’s not super skinny. For additional info, please refer to the sizing chart for actual measurements.
