Nice Product - Disappointed With The Size Not 40mm
This is a really nice product, very well designed & constructed. But I just cant see how they can advertise it as a 40mm field watch, as it is tiny on my wrist at least & I think the actual watch is 36mm at best in the traditional watch collectors World therefore my opinion is the marketing is very deceptive as they must be measuring it with the crown.
I was hoping for more from this item. When it arrived, it was not running. I will need to spend more money to buy a battery for the watch, assuming that is the issue. The turn dial around the crystal has way too much play in it. It’s loose, there’s no way it would hold out water. The screw for adjusting the time is loose and fragile. Spend your money elsewhere.
The watch follows the classic field watch aesthetics with a twist, because it adds a unidirectional rotating bezel to it. Strong positive points are the lightweight titanium case with builtin strap holding bars (no need to mess around with spring bars), sapphire crystal, good looking dial and nice and easily visible hands. The rotating bezel and the red colored minutes hand tip are nice touches too. The not so positive aspects are the fact that it's a quartz (yeah, more precise than an automatic but without the "mechanical soul" of one, and depending on a battery change once in a while) and, of course, the second hand moving at one second intervals (as opposed to the smoother sweeping of a mechanical movement).
In sum, a good looking titanium quartz field watch with a unidirectional rotating bezel.
I’ve owned 4 Bertucci watches. They all had date on dial. I find I need the date. I took this one off this morning and put the old one back on. Good watches though but this one will be given away
Working in the oil field it's hard to find a watch that can "check all the boxes" on a wish list. Mudmaster usually being the watch of choice but I really don't care for the size and weight and expense. This watch , for me, is the perfect size and weight with sharp easy to read dial that at a glance you know the time and is literally rock solid. I have yet to scratch the crystal after countless backhands into surrounding equipment. I'm sold on Bertucci and have ordered a third for my collection.
