The Bestech Warwolf features an ergonomically crafted handle made from textured G-10 and a hefty spear-point blade. The overall package is heavy enough that you’ll notice it in the hand, but not so heavy it’s a burden Read More
Anybody still waiting for theirs? Or at least some kind of indication when they're going to be shipped? 3 weeks past "shipping date" and no indication that they've been shipped or when.
I might pick up one. The thing about the inexpensive Bestechs is that they're mostly D2 steel which i like a lot more for tools and working implements and heavy use fixed blades than I do for pocket folders. Call it a personal preference.
Drop definitely has plenty of knives with D2. These days it seems like D2's everywhere. Same with S35VN, and with M390. If the EDC buyers are listening, I'd like to see more stuff like Niolox, Cruwear, K390, CTS-XHP, Elmax, CPM-3V and 4V (and 10V for that matter) getting thrown into the mix. Variety's the spice of life.
I'm very happy with mine. I'm wondering if Jonas Heismann is simply an acronym for Jeckyll and Hyde. The good and bad knife deals keep switching. Jonas- I'm grateful for the Bestech deals. They are totally worth it.
Living in Australia we're not aloud to carry knives here. So I've never had a need for one. That said, I've always wanted a decent knife and this looked pretty good, (for me at least). So this is my first knife and I can't wait to get it. LOL On my order it says estimated ship date to be AUG. 13. so another week before they ship and at least 2 weeks to arrive cause Aust Post is crap. Glad to here your enjoying yours, makes me feel like I made a good choice. Cheers 👍
Ragman673It saddens me to learn that Aust Post is in cahoots with our USPS. They must be comparing notes on how not to look responsible for slow deliveries. I am sure that you will like the Warwolf. It's a good knife. D2 is semi-stainless. Be sure to use oil, Flitz, or ECDi on it. In the words of Jimmy Buffet, not too particular, not too precise, just grease up that blade in paradise. A bit of mineral oil would work.
Bought a second one of these to give to a friend. I have purchased several of the value line D2 steel Bestech knives and the Warwolf seemed to be the best of the bunch. I like the swordfish more in terms of blade shape and bought 2 of them that were very nice, but the Warwolf in terms of fit and finish was better. The thick and heavily contoured G10 scales are the best part of the knife, it feels very comfortable. The knives really fills out in your hand due to the overall thickness, it feels substantial in a good way.
brian.allanIn the picture, yes it does show alot of green component to the overall color on the so called "beige". However I highly doubt it does in person. I own several other Bestech knives with the beige/tan G10 and there is no hue of green to the coloring. I have no clue what they did with the lighting to make it show this way. I must admit though I wish that beige with a bit of green hue was an available color though.
