SeadonkeyLoveso what bothers you, that be blade to handle ratio is less then perfect (but not bad) or that the knife's girth can not be ignored.
its actually rather slender.

boortmiserActually, none of that bothers me... but all solid logical deductions on your part. I’m not overly sensitive to blade/handle ratio as some are in the community. It just greatly varies what the knife is supposed to do and what mission and purpose I have for the respective blade. from a functional perspective there are many times where handle length, weight, and balance need to be greater than the blades... as you probably well know and agree on.
Many times we carry for just pure asethetcs and fun, or simply because we like the knife. It’s fun to flip, deploy, carry, it feels right in the hand and doesn’t overwhelm the masses or weigh down or cut the pocket.
On this just specific case and post I was being juvenile and the way the description was worded tickled my pickle. So... the inner fifteen Year-old got the better of me. My fault.
As as an exit note I’d like to say I’m extremely partial to 1701 as a series of numbers and is usually part of many of my passwords around the house on electronics or accts to parental settings.
