Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. I have a dedicated amp to drive these 600Ohm puppies and the bass is just right. I also own the DT990 600Ohm version and that's too bass (and treble) heavy.
The structural integrity of the 990s is quite similar to the 880s. I have the 990s for 3 years that are still in mint condition. Only drawback has been the loosening of the clamp force. But it's not an issue.
Anyone in the market for sub-$300 audiophile headphones knows these cans deserve respect.
With a dedicated amp, these headphones sound at par with 800-900$ cans. They are grossly undervalued IMO.
