I was loving these for the week that I've had them, but the right earpiece is no longer working. I tried disconnecting the MMCX cable to troubleshoot, and the left earpiece (blue inner ring) works with either the Right or Left cable connector, so I ruled out a failure of the cable or connector. The right earpiece (red inner ring) does not pass signal from either cable connector. Looking at the warranty paperwork, it says reach out to the retailer. Anyone else have any durability issues?
clearsoundmusic
I can see at least one Amazon review which talks of the durability issue of the earpiece connector. None of the youtube hifi channels gets into the durability concerns of these chifi iems and always raves about the SQ only.
Hey, so first time joining a drop over here, but when i check my profile on the drops section it says "You haven't joined any drops yet". Sooooo... Should i panic already?

Weirdly enough, i relogged to my account and my order appears now both on the "Drops" section on Profile and in the Transactions menu. Maybe it works for you too?
gonza_urtu
I've tried relogging a couple of times, it's still not there yet. Which is weird because I was able to see my transaction record of the DMG for a couple of days. But suddenly now its not there.
Does anybody know the size of the Dynamic Driver?
Just got mine. didn't get hit with customs fees which made my day! I'm gonna hold off with sound impressions. So far though the comfort is some of the best I've had in my ears so far! GREAT.

Can anyone confirm the specs? Listed here it says the frequency range is from 15 to 25 khz. On other sites I see 15 to 45 khz?? With four BA's it has to be 15 to 45Khz !!! I hope?!

Right here on massdrop, they just arrived since I ordered late December :) aliexpress is legit though, they have a dispute process if something arrives damaged or is lost.

Thanks!! I'll probably just order through amazon to be safe... Let us know how you like DMG's and how good the bass is? I have the FiiO FH1's and am pretty satisfied with them but would like a little more bass and better build quality.
anyone have any idea when this will be up again?
versxce
It was up. Then shipped. Then dropped again in the span of a month. You just missed two drops!
Hello everyone, how do you know if there is a delivery to Russia or not?
karapuz84
Try joining the drop and see if there is an option to ship them there. You have to provide the address before you pay, so you can cancel before paying.
So, anyone know how they compare to the similarly priced iBasso it01?

Thanks a lot! Very helpfull indeed. I have looked around a fair bit but there seems to be no good comparison between the two on the forums. Too bad the drop closed.
Thanks for the in-depth reply. I actually didn't see this reply until now which was after I joined the drop, so i'm glad you have good things to say about these compared to the iBasso :) Can't wait for them to come in.
Just wondering why the referral code I used didn't take $10 off.
ryzz
only for new accounts you joined in 2013
Can anyone compare these to the $60 massdrop/nuforce EDC? I've been using those since they came out but thinking about trying these out. Are they a worthwhile upgrade?
Adss
I saw a few reviews comparing the EDC to these and they all said these blow the EDC out of the water.
Hai, I just want to know, if something happen to this IEM, is there any warranty? and how to claim it?
mixberry
There's a warranty card inside from DMG(China based).
TL;DR - 10/10 Didn't expect too much from these IEMs, I've owned a lot of over-ear headphones and IEMs between $100 and $200, always going for whatever was recommended by the head-fi community. Every time there was something dubbed as the new amazing budget high end killer I was always a little underwhelmed or disappointed.. so I'm not the type to get on hype trains. I was hoping that they would be at least as good as my personal favorite of my owned IEMs, the Sennheiser Momentums, and to my surprise these blow anything I've had completely away. My current 1More triple-drivers doesn't even come near the DMG's league, even with the correction settings and careful tuning that I did through viper4android for my 1More IEMs which were already great iems as stock at their price point.. This was my initial impression just listening to the DMGs with their stock tips and filters. Just when I didn't think I could like them more, I started changing around the filters and tips. Just wow.  You can get very nice bright, crisp, airy, and clear sound with the treble filters + silicone tips without it getting very sibilant like most IEMs of similar sound signatures get, or you can get nice rich, full, smooth sound using the bass filters + foam tips, which makes the treble roll off a bit more (perfect for those who are sensitive to treble) and gives a slight boost to the mids. Personally I hate iems that extend too much into the high frequencies cause of sibilance but I found myself loving the treble tips (big first for me, I prefer more warmer sounds) cause of how great the highs sound through. Using these with the foam tips give it a perfect balance of tight controlled bass that's still there in good quantity without being too much, and crisp, clear highs, a long with all the other benefits of foam tips. If you're sensitive to sibilance the reference filters + foam tips are the next best combination, same sound, but slightly more rolled off at the highest frequencies. My current favorite combination has to be between the mentioned ones or using the gold filter with either tips.. I love the rich, full sound I get with the "bass" filters. The bass filters don't really add more bass, but make it feel like there is a lot more because it softens the highs a bit, taking out what little traces of harshness there was, and give the mid range a small boost giving it this amazing warm signature, goes great with the silicone tips for a very nice full bodied sound while still having very crisp and clear highs. And when you really want bass.. the bass filters + the seal from foam tips make these really pack in a ton of very nice well bodied and fun bass. Really stuck between what filters and tips I want to use cause they all sound really good, I fully expected to only like the bass filters and possibly the reference ones with foam tips to soften the highs but ended up liking them all quite a bit. All in all, if nothing else, what I do know is that these are hands down the most comfortable and most well made headphones I've ever owned. I've had every kind of issues with past headphones, from microphonics, looseness, uncomfortable seating or feeling, etc but these have none of those issues. I imagine this is as close as you get to the comfort of custom fit iems. This was my first time wearing over the ear iems so it was a little confusing to put on at first, but very easy once I figured out how. Easily has the best quality cables out of everything I've owned, though the 1more iems had a decent cable. Idk how to describe it, it literally feels luxurious, has a nice soft supple feeling, no microphonics, doesn't feel weak at all, just a great iem cable. I already went over how great these sound, but these really are that well tuned. I can't imagine how they managed to tune these so well while keeping it "fun" sounding. I'm not big on specs cause you can have the best hardware, but it will sound bad if it's tuned bad, but for those that are, I did some research and these are rocking good hardware. The knowles drivers in these cost more to get as oem than any of the other similarly priced iems I could find, including the TFZ ones. For those of you interested we're looking at "dual high (Knowles SWFK-31736), dual mid (Knowles custom-ordered 10006), and a dual-coil graphene diaphragm dynamic low (because they're dual coil they count it as 2 drivers, but it's effectively one output)". I was very iffy going in cause $100 is no small amount and this was my first massdrop purchase but these are honestly quite amazing and punch way above their weight. This is coming from someone who regrets most of his purchases, so definitely worth all their hype. If you already have headphones you love, these may not be for you unless you have money to blow and want to try new IEMs but they're definitely more than worth getting if you want something better and don't already have great headphones since you won't find anything better at this price point. Shipped to Canada (Greater Toronto Area). I wasn't charged a single cent more than the initial $99.99 for the headphones and $3.25 for the shipping. Expected drop date was the 25th, but these were shipped out early on the 4th to me via Asendia/USPS, arrived this morning on the 10th. Pictures:

What player you using? I am using on my phone (Note 9) with a Fiio BTR3, which bypasses the internal Note 9 DAC for better one in the Fiio. But bass is a bit lacking, using jetAudio Pro as a player and gold filters.
M0USER
Just Spotify + iPhone 8 + dongle for now.
How do they compare to the similarly priced iBasso it01?
Debating whether to get these or shure se215’s. would be used daily. any thoughts??

First off, go for the clear versions. Shure uses proprietary drivers so you can compare to their actual versions. Same with wiring and other nits. Otherwise, just buy from an authorized dealer and you're safe. Amazon is good to go as long as the seller is supported by Shure. If the price is too good to be true, it's more than likely a fake. This is MUCH more prevalent on the colored shells since you can't see the guts. All three of mine are clear just FYI.

thank you!
Can anyone compare these to the TIN 2 Pros? I have those and love them, but am wondering if these would be an upgrade. Thanks in advance.

I have them Both and I like the DMG's better. I just can't seem to get much bass out of the T2 Pros. They have nice detail and sparkle on the high end but I just need more bass. The DMG's on the other hand sound more balanced and have plenty of clean bass. The Treble is not as extended on the DMG's as it is on the T2 Pros but that's OK with me. The DMG's are just a more natural and realistic sounding IEM than the T2 Pro.
Cyberthingy
Oh, man. You're making this tough!
I know they are far different but should I get these IEM or go for sennheiser 58x headphones? I just need the best music experience.

Can anyone tell me if we get the cable in black or in silver?

It's what I saw, but here on MD on the "Buy" page, there is only the color in "Model Option". No possibility to choose with or without mic
I bought here: US $139.00 | BGVP DMG 2DD 4BA Hybrid Drivers In-Ear Earphone Metal High Fidelity Monitor with Detachable MMCX Audio Cable and Three Nozzles https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/cShYC5ih There are two cable options ...
Anyone try the LZ A5 filters with this? They're only $20 so I'm super tempted to by them off of penon
Can anyone recommend some good tips for these? The included tips keep falling off.

What's up with the frequency response? On Amazon, and on the box it says 15hz-45khz, but under specs it says 15hz-25khz.

You assume i listen to digital? Bad assumption...
SStas
Hahahaah fair enough lol. Hard to argue
Anyone notice the differences with the V1 models? Comparing to the teardown and un-boxing videos,
  1. The inner molding is now white plastic instead of red.
  2. No more ear hooks.
  3. The differences with the changeable filter is now just colors. There's no gasket ring with actual filtering material like you seen on the Head-Fi review. Maybe you are suppose to DIY.
  4. Price. We got what we paid for when comparing to the same product.

LOL the wine tasting gibberish drives me nuts. How the hell am I supposed to know what they mean when they talk like that. I like to brew my own coffee and it's impossible to figure out what beans are good cause the descriptions and reviews for beans aren't any different. Thanks for your point of view, I'm excited to get mine, I think they're going to be here in a few days.
lemon07r
I was fiddling with the tips again today, and checked the mesh my body colored tips have a black mesh held in by what look like I rings inside the nozzle. They didn't change the filters in the body either. Just one of mine had an extra but of mesh on one side and the new white plastic interior fooled me into thinking part of the plastic body was part of the mesh filter. Other than plastic color these don't appear to differ from recent reviews.
DM6 got a drop but for almost twice the DMG drop price I don't feel too bad about not having waited for the DM6. On another note, apparently the DMG can fit LZ A5 filters, anyone have any experience using these filters on the DMG?
lemon07r
I read this as well and just decided to purchase them while I wait for the DMGs to arrive, they were only 20 bucks, so no great loss since shipping was free. They should arrive at around the same time.
M0USER
Let us know how they are when you get them. If they really do make them sound better I'll order a pair too
It says it will be shipped by the 21st of January any chance it will ship sooner? Can't wait to here theese I hope there as good as I'm hearing people say? Can any one compare theese to the FH1?
Do these come with the silicon ear wraps that I see in some unboxings?
M0USER
If you mean the hard black wraps, no. It wraps with the wire, where it's curved a little and a little stiffer
Sometimes these sounds great, most of the time they sound awful but I realized it's because I was not getting a good seal in the ear. They stay in my ear well enough but the seal is questionable. I ordered some spinfits but got a size too big. I'm going to reorder the right size and also grab some at some double flanged tips.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the odor?

Do these sound better than 1More Quad Driver?

Gonna have to try the other filters, but been very happy with the ones that were on them when shipped.
Frogmeat
Yes try the silver ones It's by far the most transparent combination there
