Product Description
With the Q2 IEM, BGVP has taken listening versatility to new levels. Unlike nearly every TWS IEM on the market today, the Q2 can switch between true wireless and wired modes—a great choice for low-battery situations and listeners who prefer to plug in. Inside, the Q2 features two Knowles balanced armatures in each earphone: the Knowles 32873, which delivers warm bass frequencies, and the Knowles 33518, which helps articulate the mids and highs Read More

Is there any update on when they would start shipping them? I do understand there might be further delays due to COVID-19.

I can't find info on codecs it supports: sbc, aac, maybe? I've seen some reviews that it does not support AptX/LDAC. Anyone knows? Thanks.

AptX support? Doesn’t make mention of this

cmartiThere is no aptX, only AAC and SBC. The sound is not the common TWS type tuning, it's tuned more for audiophiles with a tighter bass and less warmth in the lower mids (aka better detail and clarity). You can check my review for a more detailed description: https://primeaudio.org/bgvp-quantum-2-tws-review/

crabdogGreat review Crab. I am concerned about the buds losing sync on bluetooth, as you mentioned in the review. (you also mentioned that you were promised that they would be fixed in the final retail version) Can anyone confirm if this is the final retail version?

A question for the people that got early review units: Even though they may not be final software tuning, did anyone try listening with just one ear and the other shell left charging in the case? Old implementations of BT wireless (not TWS, at least) were done using master/slave settings; only one of the shells is capable of connecting to the source device, then it's relayed to the other shell. If you don't have that shell out, you don't get music. Meanwhile, something more recent like the Mezone B6 I'm using does technically use this same type of relationship if you are using both shells at once, but both shells are capable of receiving the signal from the source device. I can have the right shell in my ear and the left shell in the charging case and listen to music; 2 minutes later, if I want to have the left shell in my ear with music and the right shell in the charging case, I can make it do that as well. Can the Q2 accomplish the same thing?

MidgetguyI am not fully certain with this answer so please take this with a pinch of salt. I've tried quite a few chifi tws and most of them runs on qcc3020 chipset as these are widely produced in china and hence, really cheap. If the Q2's are running with the same chipset, then yes they will run independently. Master and slave connections are mainly from bt4 era and I haven't seen them in any bt5 tws.

“Strangely, if the Q2 are Bluetooth 5.0 compliant, they do not carry any apt-X/LDAC certification, not a big issue but still inconvenient for an audiophile TWS. I mostly used it with my iPhone 11 and didn’t hear a difference when switching back to the FiiO M11.” Quote from the Headfonia review cited by Drop. Reviewer loved the wired sound, though.

PDC3Yes, they are Bluetooth 5.0 compliant but not aptX but the Q2 will definitely feature every major certification like apt-X/LDAC. As for now it's not a big issue as quoted by Haja from Headfonia that they still perform very well with even apt-X.

SalmannThis is confusing. They aren't aptx BUT they will feature every major certification ? How do you intend to do that since THESE are the Q2 ?

Even if these don't sound great, I still like the idea to change between wireless and wired for iems.

Can you provide a link? I have yet to find any source or review that mentioned it is ipx4 or even confirmed to be even slightly waterproof.

Hey just a tip, it you're only getting one to work, turn them off then power on, hit the touch sensor 5 times and it should clear the pairing profile and reconnect to both

shamwowYes but from all accounts and reviews from people who have early access units, it's absolute trash.
