Received it this morning. Here are my initial thoughts.
The key has a great shape to it. Transition between the acrylic(?) and the wood at the bottom is very smooth. Clouds hover around Mount Fuji are subtle and adds a bit of depth. It's lightweight, and that's not a bad thing. I would say that the price should be brought down a bit, but I'm liking the key for the first few hours.
It is replacing the escape key on my WASD V2 87-Key (Cherry MX Clear). This looks fantastic on the black keyboard case, and it would look even better (opinion) against a brighter case. All in all, you will be more than satisfied.

Due to the nature of the material, it's going to be glossy and slippery. However, we will see if the trade off between functionality and aesthetics is worth it.
EDIT: I was sent an SA replacement, which I requested, and it looks perfect. lots much better than the OEM one I got and I’m very thankful that they gave me the option of returning the OEM one for the SA one. I know everyone’s a little upset with BKD, and I get it, but if they didn’t at least try to do OEM then you know everyone would just be groaning about how they don’t offer OEM. Now we at least see that SA is better for this type of artisan. The SA keycap really did turn out great. Here are the pictures of my SA one, as you can see it’s much more like what was advertised.

im sorry but im just not happy with how this turned out. i was really hoping it would turn out fine, but theres multiple things wrong. The most glaring issue is the size and design. None of the drop photos looked OEM and im now wishing i had gotten SA because it seems those turned out better. the mountain design is just not the right shape for the OEM profile, it looks like you left off the top of the mountain or smooshed it. i get that it wasnt really supposed to have a peak but the keycap is just mostly black, making it hard to tell what it is if you dont explain. Second, theres an air bubble in the keycap design. It can be seen to the right in the last two pictures. Lasty, theres just not much detail. the base doesnt have much of a wood look to it like i was expecting and mine doesnt really have much cloud design in it aside from the one streak of white. i get that it could be worse and i should be glad to have a keycap that isnt a complete dud, but its just disappointing when you wait for something for so long and its not as expected. is there any way i could return this one for an SA one? i just think the proportions on those are better and it seems like theres more room for detail, i wouldnt want to take my chances with another OEM one and end up with another one im not happy with. is there anything that can be done?
DrayThe pic here looks almost exactly like mine. More than half the cap is the wood base, making the "mountain" more like a bump with no sky at all like the advertised pic. I'm really disappointed. Won't be buying any more BKD caps. This is my third BKD cap and I've been disappointed with all three, even after returning one. The replacement was not as good as the advertisement either.
Incredibly disappointed in the quality of the final product. Pictures in the ad show very detailed snow on top and around the mountain, with little specks even. However, the product I got has no detail whatsoever and looks like a first grader just dipped a brush in paint and slapped in on the top of the mountain and two corners of the cap. There’s no gradation-type effect whatsoever. I’m curious if the “production issues” were that they couldnmt replicate the quality shown in the drop, ran around in circles, then decided to say“ screw it, we’re just gonna half-ass it.”
Got my M. Fuji in the mail today. Overall, I like it. However there are a couple things I wish were better.
The original pictures in the Massdrop by show a snow speckled mountain side, and there are no speckles on my mountain. It comes off as a very dark mountain with a white top. Also, there wasn't as much mist as I had hoped for, though it shows up better on my picture than it does to the eye.
What doesn't show up well in my picture is the wood base, which to the eye is actually a very deep rich wooden color that I quite like. Its thicker than the example photos - and thicker than I expected. This forced the mountain to be closer to the top of the keycap which gives it a bit of a squat appearance.
All of these are hand made, so obviously there are going to be difference between keycap to keycap. I just wish there was a bit more consistency in the painting technique. I suspect that some of them were a bit rushed because they had so many to do.
In spite of those issues, I am glad I have one in my collection.
StariusThis one looks pretty good. I see what you mean about the base being thick, but I'll be happy if my OEM one arrives looking like this.
I think you're right about some being rushed.
Received the key cap after waiting forever only to see the product is basically defective with crap quality. The resin in the key cap is totally not consistent and half of the ‘mountain’ is not covered by any resin at all making it look like there are huge cracks in the key cap. Seriously disappointed and I feel that I got ripped off. Will NOT be buying anything from this site again. Where is the quality control???
Like most other reviewers stated, the cap on the drop is a lot more detailed and "artisan" than what we received. The pictures actually look like a snow mountain, with sculpted terrain, crags, and snow that is speckled and graduated to the summit.
The actual cap looks like they just dipped the mountain tip into white paint, threw on two more splotches on the base, and called it a day.
It's not a bad cap per se, and for the price isn't really bad value, but I still wish they had been more up front with actual quality.
