ADKGuyMine arrived today after a slight delay hiccup in delivery to the wrong post office by DHL. My Large is a good fit with no gaps and pulls down to my brow and completely covering my ears. As with ADKGuy, definitely thinner than I was expecting from the pics and weighs in about 3g under spec although that may not be accurate on my scale. But quilting is a bit more transparent in the top which makes me wonder about the down distribution. Letting it loft more to be sure.
Edit: Follow-up to my earlier post. Hat did not loft the way I was hoping. I searched out some online reviews outside of the Massdrop discussion, something I probably should have done in the first place. Most reviews were pretty positive. One review mentioned 3/4" loft which mine did not approach. One negative review stating it was not warm at all and not good in subzero had a response indicating that BlackRock only gave this hat a comfort rating of 30F and definitely did not endorse use subzero. Well, I went back to recheck both the Massdrop description and the BlackRock Gear website and could not find that information disclosed anywhere. I wish it had been. Probably I would not have purchased.
