Hi everyone, new to Massdrop and dashcams and had a few questions. I've tried researching on my own, but was wondering if anyone happens to know:
- Will this system let you turn off both the rear and forward facing cameras with just one button on the front camera, without having to unplug them ? Reason I ask if I would often have to turn off a dashcam, and my charger area is inside my console and is a next of USB cables, so I'd rather not have to unplug it and would much prefer a button. Ideally it would have a power LED on the back of the forward-facing camera to let me know when it's on and off.
- Is it possible to easily turn off audio recording while driving, yet turn it back on when parked just in case my car happens to attract a talkative thief ?
- Can you opt to not have it record MPH on the recording ?
- The app interaction sounds great, but has anyone seen a good explanation of which aspects are handled locally (ie, on my own wlan or via a direct connection to the camera system itself) versus an external webservice ? Love app integrations ... sending constant details and video of my personal life overseas, not so much ;)
