I've been keeping an eye out for a braided belt for a loooong time. I have a reversible one by Nautica and it's been tearing at a bend created from when I undo my belt for the john. (I like to tuck the open end into my belt loop to prevent... cross contamination.) With it being such a fad and iconic piece in preppy fashion, you'd think a mainstream vendor would get it right, but most of them are very cheaply made in China (i.e. Uniqlo, Old Navy, Nautica; not sure about Ralph Lauren). I can tell by the plastic feeling of the belt, it's lack of durability to bending, and the warning label that says the color might rub off. Honestly, these LOOK just like the cheap ones, but you can never tell through photos. I mean, the black looks just like the navy. I am wary... Can anyone speak to the reputation of this company or the quality of its products?

BackspinHi, allow me to respond to the reputation of the company & quality of our goods. We have been making men's accessories since 1946. This belt is hand made, of Italian hides, the other brands you mention are made off shore & are sold at a price point for, "big box" stores with extremely high volume & of much lesser quality. there is a world of difference. I encourage you try one, you will not be disappointing. Cheers !
