Best scarf you could purchase for the money in my opinion based on my extensive scarf-feeling adventures. Save yourself the dangers of petting strangers scarves and just pick a few of these up.
I won't get the chance to use this for many months, yet the look and feel is lovely. Not as soft as an alpaca scarf, but relatively soft for a wool. I had originally hoped to get one of the red ones but they were all sold when I was able to commit to the purchase. The charcoal that I have is indeed lovely - three shades of blues with the dark charcoal. There are no hems to speak of - the ends have rubbed/rolled threads for fringe, and the sides have an approx 1/4" raw/unfinished edge of the warp [I think]. The care label calls for dry cleaning only, which makes sense with that type of weave and fiber. I'm looking forward to using it when it gets cold again.
The scarf is worth every penny spent and I have no regrets about the purchase. It's a classic. However, I would like Bronte to offer one that is thicker or twice as wide and charge accordingly.
What can I say about a scarf? Well, the Bronte brand scarf is very attractive, well made and it will keep your neck warm during the winter. This brand also has a long history of making quality products in Great Britain. I bought the blue/grey version which goes very well with both my grey herringbone top coat and, my navy colored top coat. Highly recommended.
Is it a super-luxe, plush, marino wool scarf that I just happened to get for 95% off? Absolutely not.
Is it a nice feeling/looking scarf, that is a good value for $25? Yes.
