I have beat the everliving crap out of this knife in my work in the field, and it's held the same sharpness it had from the day I got it. I have sharpened maybe twice in the year I've had it, minimally. Still slices everything I need like butter.
The worst thing about this knife is the sheath. I love the knife, it feels good even though it is small, and hasn't failed me yet. But that sheath just gets in the way of every thing. I would love to find a lower profile sheath as the original just eats up space. It is a good quality sheath, just much bigger than I think the knife needs.
The knife itself is really well made. There are no gaps between the handle scales and the tang. It was decently sharp out of the box. And the sheath has one hell of a hold on the knife. My only issue is that the pivot between the sheath and the belt clip is super weak and it broke off in the first couple weeks wearing it. Hopefully i can find some kind of heavier duty clip that is compatible.
I haven't used the knife very much. First thing it needed a new edge, not a problem as many production knives do including many much more expensive ones. I found it quite difficult to get out of the sheath. I will either break it in or learn how to use it better. For the price this knife is a steal.
Nice one, well compact, thick blade stock with cool grinds, good grip even for large hands.
Mine come not so sharp...easy to "fix".
Choiced Camo version, i will maybe die it with Rit.
Sheath is interresting too, even if quite big for small fixed like this...
zippered "box" who come with is quite nice and add to the Quality/Price ratio.
The kydex sheath is very good, being able to clip onto your belt or on a strap to your backpack. the stone-wash finish on the blade gives it the rugged appeal that I find appealing in most knives. the only thing I find slightly off is the short handle, as my pinky finger either hangs off the end. However, I have found a good grip with it by tucking my finger inwards behind the knife for good grip. Another good addition to the collection.
Small handy knife, kind of short though, but is enough for camping and outdoors use . Not super sharp but some time with a stone will fix the problem .
