Thick Leather, Built-In Tear Bar

Based in Escondido, California, Bulldogge & Co. specializes in products made from American-sourced materials and meant to stand the test of time. That commitment to longevity is evident in the company’s pocket notebooks, available here with two types of thick, rich-smelling leather. The standard notebook features premium English bridle leather from Hermann Oak in St. Louis, Missouri. Meanwhile, the soft notebook uses a softer waxy pull-up leather from a tannery in Maine. Both contain 70 sheets of 70-pound paper with a light tooth, along with a solid copper tear bar. This bar allows you to tear out a single sheet with a nice, hand-torn finish, and it’s removable to accommodate paper refills. Solid brass Chicago screws from nearby Los Angeles hold it all together.

Note: At checkout, choose the standard pocket notebook in black, chestnut, or tan (base price), or the soft pocket notebook in dark brown (- $4). Each comes with a 2-pack of paper refills. This drop has limited quantities available.
