Hey, so I'm around 255 lbs, and was wondering if that is pushing the 275 lb weight limit. Can I get in normally (a bit rough) or do I have to ease in to it?
TrailName_TDBI have, and it works alright. It causes the bug net to collapse in a bit since the ridgeline runs lower than the line that hangs the net, but it's not too much of an issue.
BaalotHello. It is not removable. However you just need to flip the hammock over and you will be able to use it with out the netting.. We intentionally designed it so that the spreader bars are removable so that you can use it both ways and not have to worry about the spreader bars poking you. Enjoy!
Help for a father purchasing for his Boy Scout...
If I buy this hammock plus the optional fly plus the optional tie straps will that be everything he needs? Would I need to purchase any other webbing, straps, cords, stakes for the fly, etc to hang this?
Thanks in advance!
DannyhammockThank you! He's got a good bag and does mostly 3/4 season camping so I'll let him decide if he needs the under quilt or not. Appreciate the reply.
I have had a hennesy for .. a decade, still going well but I have moved further from the equator, closer to the pole and the colder (not snow but ..) nights see me.needing an underquilt because damn, i get cold at night.
I see from.commemts this doesn't have underquilt attachment built in ? are there other models coming with that feature ? It's become a must have for me.
MickeyBlissThank you for your interest. I have never actually seen a hammock with a built in attachment for an underquilt. Do you have one? I just assumed that people attached it to the rope at the end of the hammock. Interesting idea that I think could be added next time we rework the hammock.
