Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. I am really pleased to see that so many of you have taken the time to post to the discussion and share your experiences. I am super pleased that some of you have resolved the volume issue, it seems to be mostly on Mac computers so far.
I checked back with the folks at CAD Audio, they too found that they encountered a similar problem with some Mac operating systems. This mic has a brand new chip set and an update to your Mac OS will likely be necessary to correct the issue. We are still looking into the matter nonetheless.
So far Windows 8, with up to date drivers and software, seems to be working like a charm. However, we want to resolve this issue for whomever is having it. So please continue to post to the discussion board and we will continue to update the drop as information comes our way.
thank you all!
