If anyone's interested, I'd like to get rid of these. I haven't used these since I first received them...

Do you still have these? I'm interested.

I'm insterested. Write me a line alain_lemaire258@hotmail.com
Will this or other BA campfire IEMs will returen soon?
HenKi
I hope it comes back soon, and hope that it's also within my price range.
What was the price during the drop?
Fit is everything with IEMs. I played with all of the options they sent with the Novas (which was a great selection). In the end, my best sound has come from the regular foam tips: I squish them and then put them in my ear and they expand for a nice seal. Comply muffle things a bit for me.
Got mine on Friday after the long and arduous exchange between DHL and USPS. Really wish Massdrop would have the option to ship using USPS as well so I could just get my packages at my PO BOX where I get everything that's pricey delivered (have had issues of theft in my neighborhood). Regardless, these are the best sounding IEM's I've ever owned! I tried in the $100-$200 range both major reputable companies and Chinese brand sets and none have come close to how these sound. I'm no expert as an audiophile but I've played music seriously as a hobby since I was in second grade so I feel like I have a decent ear. the bass is perfect not too over the top but it's definitely there. The highs seemed too harsh coming straight out of my iPhone 6s Plus but running through my amp/dac it's very clear but not overbearing. Sound isolation is extreme I can't hear a thing with these on! Although metal these are more comfortable than expected, feel secure, and overall seem quite well built . Really love the cable and how it fits around the ears much better than my shure's. Other than the shipping I'm extremely happy I pulled the trigger on this. Thanks Massdrop!

Your name suggests that you might be Belgian as well. If so, didn't anything weird happen with customs? I'm still waiting myself, doesn't seem to change status anymore.
I finally received mine and am up and running with an AudioQuest Dragonfly Red, but am pretty disappointed so far with the sound. Almost no bass or midbass.... Nice top end sparkle and clarity, but literally zero bass. Still tinkering, hopefully they burn in and get better.
I had a chance to try them over the weekend off of my desktop setup: Schiit Audio Bitfrost Multibit DAC and Valhalla 2 amp. Obviously much more power than the Dragonfly Red, but still the same result. No bass/midbass whatsoever. I was forced to use software EQ to boost the bass to a level that wasn't completely overpowered by the mid and upper range.
Anyone else having a different experience with the Nova? I'll give them another week of trial, then they are being sold..
barson
Hope your week of trial has gone better. At the risk of repeating the advice of many (including myself); perhaps your ear tip choice is not perfect for your ear shape etc.
Well that is quite depressing. The expected delivery date was 6/8/16, and it is still not here one week after it has been tendered to the USPS. I went ahead and requested Massdrop file a claim to determine where the package is. I hope to receive mine soon. Sad to hear people overseas received theirs sooner than I will.

Mine arrived at customs 5 days ago. Not a single status change so I went ahead and send an email to clearance describing the contents of my package. I've been told this can speed things up.
Yes. No word from them, not even an email indicating that they read what I wrote. Called them and the usual 'it is in department x hands now and I can't access their emails'
She basically told me they should be able to get it shipped by the end of next week and that I should receive it the week after.
Living in Belgium. The dream mate.
Mine arrived yesterday. I'm very impressed with the clarity and detail in the sound but it took some playing with different tips before I was totally happy. I usually prefer silicone tips but I tried all three sizes of the supplied silicones but couldn't get them to seal properly and it really affected the sound. The comply's were perfect though and made all the difference.
I'm very happy with these iems but the extra customs charges of £52 made the price a little steep to bring them into the UK.
Two days late, usps' fault but I have them! Thank you Massdrop.
Is is just me, or do these have almost zero bass coming through them? My highs are pretty crystal clear, but I have a feeling one of my drivers isn't running for the deep sounds and its just kinda muted. I'm hoping someone else can help me clear this up.
The only reference I have to compare them to are apple earbuds, and grado RS2's. Currently my grado's severely outperform these, and some songs the apple craps sound better on because there is a bass presence, instead of a lack of one. (though not by much as the highs do really shine) I've been using Tidal to stream lossless EDM for the notes for my phone comparison.
I stuck them into my grado amp connected to my PC for a better connection and better sources, and the muted bass was still completly present.

I haven't listen to these specifically, but generally IEM's requires that there's a very good seal between the tip and the ear canal for them to play well. This should be expected to be true for these as well. In other words, make sure they are seated well into the ear canal, and so that there's no air leaking in or out of the ear. This should greatly enhance the bass. Apparently this model has two full range armatures and no crossover, so you should be able to hear bass regardless. In fact they've been designed specifically to enhance the bass over the earlier Orion model. As I don't have any Campfire Audios take this as a general advice for IEMs.
j-tech
This is very true. Bose Soundtrue ultra does this very well. Their tips make it impossible for any air to leak. Bass is great on them. When I first plugged these in, I was rather shocked, questioning why I payed so much money for these without knowing this.
When you do wear these correctly, it's a WORLD of difference. These sound really really really good and the bass is just good for me.
Hmm... I was given two right ear Novas. Anyone else have this problem?
Got mine today also. After three hours straight of listening the jury is still out. It might be that my expectations were higher the normal coupled with anticipation of a higher end . Using my Fiio X3ii with e12A produced the best quality sound of any other source I tried (which is the most powered source I have). Verza DAC was mediocre compared to my Trinity Atlas. Straight out of my Denon 4200 (including pumping it through the e12A) was mediocre. Must give these more time I guess. Lower expectations and start with fresh head I must!
Other reviews and Jupiter and Andromeda all commented that the sharp edges were a problem. After three straight hours, including lying on one side of my head, the edges haven't bothered me at all. Fit is comfy and easy to find the right angle.
I will say, poorly recorded MP3's really sound like crap on these....lol. Spundose FLAC and APE sounded pretty damn good. I might need a less balanced and more V shaped for my own personal tastes listening to electronica, EDM, psytrance and all things techno. Might be a long night breaking these in and finding the right configuration for their sweet spot. Gain H or L, Using EQ or not? What volume setting?
Build, packaging, carry case, wires, look and Comply tips all beyond EXCEPTIONAL. I really really really want like these. Feel like Christmas time.(not sure why it doesn't show me as participating in drop????)
More to come........
I certainly am not having any problems like that. I'm really sorry to hear it. I'm sure you can work it out with Massdrop and/or Campfire Audio. Obviously you shouldn't be having that problem. Sorry.
On the other hand, I'm really liking the sound and construction of mine (and the nice cable) but I have a newbie audio question:
I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I've slowly been getting more and nicer equipment the past few years. These are by far the most expensive and nicest IEMs I own now. (For reference I also have some Klipsch, Etymotic, and Sennheiser IEMs.) I don't have a golden ear for distinguishing super subtle sound quality differences but I can tell when silence is not absolutely pitch black. These Novas must be significantly more sensitive than my other sets, because no matter what source I use there is a little background hiss. It's worst with my laptop (that actually had a decent HD soundcard), but a bit better with my iPhone 6, or when I use my DACPort HD or Geek Out IEM 100 DAC/amps. But even with those DACs there is hiss!
My question is: what sort of DAC do I need for pitch black silence? Is the stat that I have to look at when comparing DACs TDH? If so, how low do I need to go for these Novas? The DACPort HD has aTDH of 0.002%, which I thought was pretty good. Do I need a desktop DAC just to get a clean signal (instead of a portable DAC)? If so, doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of using a portable IEM? Is the Grace m9xx a clean enough source for these to be hiss free?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to figure out what I need to look for next to clean up the signal.
patpolk
You know what, now that I read this and you pointed it out, it is the same for me from everything except my Fiios.
patpolk
I have the smae problem when I plug mine into my fiios I was not sure if the novas had a problem or if expensive iems were like that. anyone else have this problem?
Anyone having issue with their new Nova? My Nova right earbud barely have any sound coming out from it.
TxDxN
Try disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the earbud, or even try swapping which earbud the endpoints go to, could be a cable issue. Also might just be that the 3.5mm connector isn't plugged into the source all the way, had to remove my iphone case to get it seated all the way.
Overall I am loving these. Mine are working great and I have been on a CD ordering binge on amazon to get some good flac files made from them.
Awschusk
That is the first thing I try, but still the result is the same.
My DHL page has an estimated delivery of Jun 8, 2016 but it's nowhere to be found : / Was tendered to USPS on Jun 6, with no further updates. I wonder where it is, I really want to listen to them already!
Soltempest
That is the exact scenario my Novas have..."Tendered to USPS 0329, June 6." But the USPS page indicates that it "does not guarantee possession of shipment as of yet"....delivery was supposed to be yesterday. I will wait a day, and hope it comes today...
I got mine today in Illinois! They beat Massdrop's shipping expectations. I'm very excited to try them out tonight.
got mine today (1 day earlier than scheduled) in OH.
Received mine today in VA.
Mine was originally scheduled for delivery on Friday the 4th, but since DHL transferred the package to USPS on the 3rd it's been in limbo. It's currently in NJ so hopefully I'll get them in NYC tomorrow.

My dhl page just updated to 11th delivery day, and the usps page show the package arrive the local post office. It should be here within a day or two I believe

Got mine as well. Just go by the USPS estimate. I'm sure there will be a bunch of happy new Nova owners before the end of the week.

Anyone else have their package stuck with Asendia? 'In transit To Carrier's US Operations Facility'?
These vs Orion???
urbanbreach
These are a step up. Whether they're enough of a step up to make up for the price difference is personal preference.
urbanbreach
Spec wise, the Nova has 2 full range drivers as opposed to a single in the Orion. Should be richer, fuller, and have more clarity...I think
Nova were listed as our of stock on AOL during the drop but are now available for purchase direct so I wouldn't think they would do that if they didn't already have Massdrop order about ready.
So, will any DAC, DAP or amp be okay with these?
zakalwe
These are just 22 ohm, so to deliver sound you wont need a powerful amp. To get the best clarity you would likely want a DAC in some form.
Awschusk
Thanks. I haven't had dual armature before. I thought that meant they could range up. Either way, I've got an X1 and I'm thinking of getting an E17k Alpen 2 to go with it and my laptop. Should be good there, right?
Just about there! We've been in touch with the vendor regarding the group's order and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and pack the group's order for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. We will continue to check in with them throughout the fulfillment process and update the group again as soon as everything is en route to us!
Expect another update from us on 5/26 or sooner if something comes up.
