Nope. Unsafe in pocket.
I totally agree with HikingMano's review here. I was a little concerned that the blade carrier could be extracted in both directions, but figured maybe there was a reason behind it, so no biggie. However, this morning, I dropped the CLOSED tool into the front pocket of my pants (as I've done every day for the last couple weeks) along with my thin wallet and when I reached into my pocket a few minutes later, my fingertip met the sharp tip of the blade.
I carefully extracted the tool from my pocket, threw it on my desk, and switched back to my Gerber EAB Lite (which I don't like because it of the tool-requiring blade change, but I do like because it doesn't open in my pocket!).
If I'd been wrestling or doing yardwork or something this morning, sure, my bad, but I literally walked to/from the kitchen and sat down at my desk. Not cool.
Either make the blade button much firmer or stop selling this unsafe tool. No way I'd recommend this item to anyone.

If it's sufficiently strong that I don't have to worry about this issue again, I don't know that I'll need to hunt for something else, but good to know about it (and I've added it to my check-it-out list).

andymandLet me get this straight; this is a "carbon tactics Ti slice", but there's zero carbon fiber, no titanium anything and it's got 1.5 stars? This needs to be pulled. This is as misleading as it gets. SMH.

CarbonTacticsMike- a couple weeks ago, I emailed you to let you know that I received the two replacement springs you sent me (a gold one and a black one) and that I compared the springiness/resistance of those to the original black slider. As I mentioned in that email, the new black spring seems identical to my original black spring. The gold spring is perhaps a little bit stiffer, but either way, I remain afraid that none of those are going to create a knife that is safe enough for me to carry in my front pocket without worrying that an incompatible sitting arrangement will depress the button and cause the blade/slider to shift out of hiding.
I didn't get a reply to my email or to a follow-up email I sent a week or so ago, so I assume that there's not a knife/spring arrangement you currently have that will work for me at this time.
For anyone looking for a utility knife that's safer, I bought a Quark Tool Carbon and so far, so good. A downside is that it's a two-handed open, but the upside is that I can't envision a situation in which it will ever open accidentally in my pocket (or elsewhere), so it's now my become my fifth-pocket EDC utility knife. HTH
