Way too damn ugly for ME to wear! I like shoes that are comfortable AND understated--you know, more like these:

Is there any possibility of rubber (dainite, etc) soles or half soles?

Not this time around, @locussolus If anything we may be able to do something in the future with them is what i meant to say.

locussolusSecond this. Full rubber soles are awesome in the city if you walk a lot.

Any reason why you guys seem so set on leather soles? Understand the JR on the carminas and how leather soles are “standard” for the CS patina line, but we’re in fall/winter now and a dainite sole would be much appreciated!

Let’s agree to disagree.
There are good reasons all of the Chelseas recently released on Skoak have dainite soles. In fact, most of the fall/winter releases have dainite soles.

Agree. If you walk a lot, dainite soles are awesomely durable AND sleek (not talking commando lugs here).

Good product, but small discount relative to what it's available for elsewhere without as extensive a wait - Skoaktie is $350 shipped to the US (yes fewer color choices) also available through a fine pair of shoes's patina service for gbp220 ex-vat.

A Fine Pair of Shoes does ship to the US, I just received a pair of shoes from them today.

I am a bit confused by the sizing advice. Some seem to be saying this is a narrow last, some seem to be saying it is long and wide, and is on the roomy side. I wear mostly UK 8E and 8.5E in Crockett & Jones and US 9D and 9.5D in Polo and Brooks Bros. Italian/English-made shoes. Should I get UK 8E or half a size larger? I’m usually in betweenk, tending more to the smaller of the two.

bigbhattI went with UK8/US9 and it was a mistake. The last is very narrow. Should have gone with UK8.5/US9.5. On the other hand, the leather is very thin and flexible, so even though it’s tight, it’s not uncomfortable.

If I am a size 9D in an Allen Edmonds Strand. Does that mean I would also be a size 9 in these boots? Or should I size down to an 8.5?

Not sure which size to choose.. You think an 8UK would work going off from my AE Strand size?

Style_GuruTOI wear a 12e on the AE 65 last and wear an 11uk on the 234 last. You have roughly a ~1.25 size difference between your strands and these (AE 65 is a narrow last) so you are definitely not an 8.5 UK.

Does anyone have experience with Carlos Santos sizing? I'm a 12d/e in Allen Edmond's and an 11.5 in vibergs 2030 last. I'm a little worried the 12 in this brand will be too narrow and I understand you can't exchange for a different size (?)

I’m really satisfied with the Norte Patina - a deep, midnight blue. The right balance of not too subtle and not flashy. The hand-painting is rather evident. The shoe’s profile is sleek and slim. About an inch longer than the Allen Edmonds Liverpool Chelsea.

If you fit 11d in the Liverpool, then I would guess a 10 for the CS would be appropriate.

I would recommend that.
