I like the look of this watch but at 46mm, it’s just too large. Offer it in 42mm and I’d be a buyer.

the crown is push/pull...the movement is seiko NH35, it is 100 meters water resistant. for the price and look definitely not bad. but if you think this is an authentic russian watch with a seiko movement in it, it's not. the actual russian divers have screw down crown, 200m water resistance and an authentic russian movement that goes back to the soviet era. while i like the look of this, it is totally inauthentic for what it presents itself as. that is probably why all the above info is not listed.

Not sure that is accurate? I used to have a Soviet ‘submariner’ watch that was decent but certainly not anything I’d consider award worthy? Lugs were integrated in the case. But hey, maybe they rewarded not dying in your sub with a crudely made watch!

CalaverasgrandeYet converted examples exist in abundance. There are many models, including some integrated lugs that were intended as wristwatches.

dom1234Yes. Is giving you extra discussion period with FSB, then "special accommodations" at Lubyanka.

I had a CCCP watch once. All my Russian friends thought I was crazy. I don't think I'll be getting one again.

Eh, I consider my friends' thoughts valid. Especially since they and their families came here to escape the cccp.

LunchableI saw a report on Japanese television the other night about the popularity in Russia of vintage goods shops that specialize in Soviet-era products. There's quite a retro boom over there. Perhaps there is a small subset of Russian immigrants who have PTSD over "CCCP" products and need a safe space and a therapy dog when they see those initials, but I think it's very small (90-year-old Jews who came over when Reagan was president?). Most Russians in recent years are coming for better job and economic prospects.

CJB007"I’d rather get. 30.00 Vostok....Endless Mod Ability. And is Actually a 200M Dive Watch." The thing is, this is not a Russian watch. It’s a Chinese watch with exotic “Soviet” branding, but standard Chinese/Japanese/Swiss case sizing, stainless steel rather than chromed brass, 22 mm lug width, and so on. I think these guys know that there are more people who’d like a “normal” watch with Cyrillic letters on it than want a quirky artifact actually made in Russia.

“Plus, at 46 millimeters, it’s readable from afar.” Hell, at 46mm, it’s probably readable from the next country Putin invades!

Why is the bezel slightly off center in every single picture?? Doesn't seem like a manufacturing defect, seems intentional. That's just cruel.

ministryofmayhemi didnt even realise this until u said it. Silly me thinking every watch must have their bezel at the centre if its rounded in shape.

dom1234It appears to be centered. It's an optical illusion because the line is shorter on the date side. It's a great deal for <$100. Wish I hadn't bought the Nixon.

Hello! Anybody knows anything about sendings to Europe and customs? Thank you.

LouisGRIt goes like this: Price + Freight +Duty (a few %, usually not much) + VAT (19% in Germany, e.g.) = amount to pay Sometimes, when you are lucky, they bring it to the door and you pay on the spot. Sometimes, the transport company charges you for this.. Sometimes you find a note in the letterbox and can go to the nearest customs office to pay there.. A knife to Germany (99$) ended up with 21 Euro charges, not too bad.

Hopefully the movement is made In Japan, but either way you don't need mechanical for a wristwatch. Seiko movements are excellent, but if it's Russian just be glad it isn't an American movement. My 1953 Mulco HKBA(NKVD) CCCP watch is accurate still. This watch case is a terrible attempt at the Kirovskie watches issues to police and at awards. The face is wrong, the style is wrong and the alphabet is wrong . CCCP was written in Cyrillic, under the coat of arms.Every American movement I've worked on is rubbish. The USSR and Russia make some excellent watches. The numbers aren't even replaced by the 11 names L E N I N S T A L I N then the insignia at 12. The date should be are 9 o'clock and should be a second hand rather than a date.

DanTreviewYou are right, a caliber 2 NH35A. But as accurate as the quartz but no mechanical is.
