With 1 ohm and var out mod and I didn't notice hum/buzz between 11 and 4. How did you test it? I tried it without playing music since I couldn't even go beyond 10 when the music is on. It will be too loud to listen!

BoonhI tested my unit with only the ac power in and the headphones and there was a slight audible hiss between 11 and 5 o'clock with no music playing. I also tried it with only the USB, ac power, and headphones and the hiss was louder. Lastly I tried it with the USB, ac power, headphones, and external speakers plugged in and it was even louder still. I found that anything past the 12'o clock position was slightly loud for listening but still their product was advertised as having a very low noise floor and the audible hiss when nothing is playing is quite annoying.

radio_killahfrom my experience, se535ltd, very noticeable hiss, ie80, slightly weaker hiss, denon d600, 25 ohms, when no music playing, noticeable hiss at 2 to 4 o clock hd 650, no hiss i think it is the more sensitive headphone that make hiss audible. Plz share with what headphones do you hear hiss, thx!

HTvishRight now I only have T90s on me and they are 250 ohm and the hiss is pretty audible when nothing is playing. I am still waiting on CEntrance's response.

radio_killahDoes yours hiss when there are connections to the RCA jacks in the back of the unit? I noticed mine does not hiss if nothing is connected to the RCA jacks..

OrganiCaliActually I have a very similar problem. The hiss is still there without my speakers connected to the RCA line out but is very subtle. It has to be a quiet room to hear it. But with the RCA line out connected the hiss is very audible and I can hear it during lulls in the music. It is really annoying..
