JonLane - can you comment on the crossover used and components, such as film capacitors of what variety? Thanks for your help, I'm considering getting three for a HT.

CubeMammalGreat Idea. You end up with a D'Appolito array configuration that is voice matched to the left and right channels and this should really sound good. May I ask what sub and electronics you are using?

CubeMammalCrossovers resemble those in the other three models: Adequate baffle step compensation, very heavy gauge inductors, premium OEM metalized film capacitors in critical sections, non-inductive resistors throughout, glass epoxy boards, and designs to optimize off-axis behaviors. DABTPAI'm upgrading it all. I've been an audiophool for many years but recently got a 120" screen and top drawer projector, and just to get by set it up with a cheap Monoprice speakers/sub and Yamaha/whatever electronics. Now I'm going through and slowly upgrading it. I hate the HTR but haven't picked an alternative yet (I did upgrade the player to an Oppo). Anyhow though I haven't heard these they probably would be a good enough choice. I'm not going for bleeding edge and don't want to spent a mint, seems kind of pointless just for Cinema which isn't purist audio.
Anyhow you're right, a MTM array like that might work well, and additionally since the bottom of my screen is at 36" could all fit under there properly without having to bring it forward. Most floor standers push above three feet.

JonLaneI did see that page before but it doesn't go into the crossover much.
Any thoughts on a trio of these in my configuration above? The projector is in a end of a room with sidewalls nearby. It's not quite right (hard to describe as there's door openings and it's a 'partial room' off to the side of a larger), but pretend it's like a shoebox with the screen on one end.

CubeMammalI alluded in another comment that the double-woofer models like the A2rx-c really change things. The acoustical size of the speaker, including its efficiency, is doubled.
The sonic effect in the room is really significant, and a trio of A2rx-c, as MassDrop shows above, is a highly effective front stage: Perfect matching, twice the output and half the distortion of the A1rx-c (and then remember that SplitGap drivers have up to 70% less distortion at top volumes than any conventional drivers).
You'll get a more room-saturating soundstage than any smaller speaker and virtually any similarly-sized conventional speaker.

JonLaneOK thanks Jon. Would you recommend the physical placement above? Any reason for or against having the two side speakers horizontal, as well as the center?

CubeMammalGoing from the Monoprice to these will be a nice improvement. Oppo anything is a home run. What does HTR stand for? It's not clicking in my brain?

DABTPASorry, Home Theater Receiver, cheap Yamaha I think.
Honestly I can't see any difference between the Oppo and the cheap one I had before (direct into the projector). And the projector is no slouch, an Epson 5030.
So far I haven't got any of the three components to play well together, receiver, player and projector, mainly thinking of the auto start functionality (start one and they all start) and the one remote (projector remote controls everything).

CubeMammalI'm surprised about the Oppo. How much did you spend on it, what did you have before and what did that one cost you. Just curious because the Oppo should be be a home run.

DABTPAOppo 103, replacing a cheap BD player. Even with calibrating I don't notice much if any difference (Spears & Munsil by eye, I also have a hardware calibrator but haven't used yet). The main benefit is software features and speed.
