This pen is shit. I own one.

How about filler type? Kind of necessary info for a fountain pen.

Hi Gman2415, There is an image of the included converter on the page. Cheers,
I know this drop has nothing to do with racing or cars, I suspect it has nothing to do fountain pens either ;- )
Can't find any reviews of this pen, or almost any Chopard pen really. Really need to know the diameter of the barrel, cannot tolerate slim barrels of <11mm. M800 and above is most comfortable for me, any massdrop staff can tell me ?
Pesty
Hi Petsy, The barrel at the grip section is 14mm at its widest point but tapers down to about 11mm. Hope this help!

Cheers, that really helps and likely will push me over the edge to get the black and red!
The black and red is enticing, however the "Classic Racing"is off-putting. It's a soft pass for me (reserving the right to change my mind with mere minutes left on the drop).
It's pretty much the norm for surplus stock (which is what this is) to have medium nibs. Medium is always overproduced. However, in the case of Chopard, much like other Fashion/Luxury brands, medium is all you get, except upon request. The idea being that medium is more likely to be acceptable to all persuasions. @MrSharkbait you are being a bit harsh on them; the Superfast was released by Chopard to complement their Superfast Chronograph series, which is also racing-themed. https://www.chopard.com/us/watches/mens-watches/classic-racing/superfast

Chopard don't make their pens in-house. They outsource them to MHA Geneve, if I remember correctly. @StainlessOnly may know more about them. I personally like the Superfast, especially the all-black one. It's the sort of pen I love to send to Mr Masuyama for modification.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh, but even if we stay with their “Classic Racing” line of watches, the pens simply do not match what they offer in watches. The Mille Miglia line is very tastefully done.
MrSharkbait
No question. Writing instruments are not Chopard's forte. But I still think the Superfast is their best attempt yet.

Not necessarily, @Axeguy. Ideally I would evaluate the entire pen’s performance to choose the nib that gives the best experience. In general I would prefer F or EF if the nib can provide some line variation, otherwise something else. This drop feels like someone is getting rid of leftover stock. This pen feels like Chopard had a design expecting some big car company to endorse their brand, but couldn’t find any to take the bait. Sad that you have to see the words “Superfast” and “Classic Racing” to reinforce the concept.

It is also what’s stopping me in many drops.
"All pens come with Medium nib." Don't most of us prefer Fine or even Extra Fine? I am genuinely curious.
Axeguy
I for one prefer broad or medium nibs. I almost never buy a fine—and only when a broader nib is not available
