Equally sporty and outdoorsy, the Citizen CA0641 transitions well from a hike to a nice dinner afterward. The dial has a lot going on, but it’s well balanced in layout Read More
Bought an eco drive in 1997 in Dubai. Titanium bracelet and case, chrono and was for all intensive purposes the perfect watch, lasted ten years until i got bored with it; but still resold for a pretty penny. (Not unlike an original early Fossil chrono for which I got more than I paid for!!) But with modern tech comes volume and loss of quality. New titanium build, newish eco drive tech, and handsome chrono functionality. But these days the watches from Citizen seem to resemble plastic toys with no character. This one looks good initially ,especially with the tan strap , but that's it!! It is the strap that looks good ; otherwise this is just another cheap looking toy!! Maybe they can resurrect their quality like some of the Seiko models. This just seems a waste of money. At least the recent Ingersoll was an automatic in this price point, and for a little more the Tissot quartz chrono a quality timepiece.
Yes, but Ray I seriously have had some good deals: and after an initial probation period with your unusual wit and charm ,I have been able to understand your annoying yet hilarious wit. I think Drop for all their shortcomings are just another discount retailer trying their best; and sometimes the current staff are not just as good as some of their others. Anyway I am sure you have someone else to wind up. Regards.
navajasYou're welcome.. The little second hand at 6 o'clock tick's The big chrono hand sweep (high bit.. 5 tick's pr.sec)

I bought this in the last drop. It’s a nice looking design and a decent value proposition. It’s a basic chronograph with a printed dial and mineral crystal. Modern watch with a retro feel. I like the eco-drives for daily wear. I change it up once and a while with a super engineer bracelet and black carbon fiber.
It's a nice looking watch but I stopped buying Citizen when I had 3 Ecodrive watches deteriorate over time and would only keep charged for a week or so. I tried everything, leaving them in the Sun for days on end, resets, etc. but nothing would get them to keep charged other than leaving them on a windowsill all the time.
felixmenkThey can be serviced. The internal rechargeable battery wears out eventually. I've have an inexpensive one that I've had for about 15 years that still runs accurately with no problems. My wife bought me a Citizen Signature chronograph for our 25th anniversary (retail is about $1000) and it died after 3 years. However, Citizen honored the 5 year warranty with no questions and replaced the entire movement at no cost to me except the the cost of shipping it to their repair center in San Francisco from Florida. I had the watch back in a about 3 weeks.
