Product Description
The Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster is an excellent representation of a classic dive watch. From the thick, lumed hands and markers to the unidirectional rotating bezel with minute markings in increments of 10, it has a quintessential diver’s look Read More
Not a dive watch fan but if I was still into diving this would be my choice.
I had a citizen eco-drive dress diver in the early 2000s and it lasted a decade of daily wear with plenty of diving and kayaking.
I just signed up for the blue model BN0151-17L. Only I question I have...is the presentation box going to be the simple cardboard type or the Aqua Lung type packing with a silver/yellow oxygen bottle shape case that opens from the bottom ? I hope it is the latter !!
shahtirthakI bought the blue version a couple years ago (not from Drop) and it came in the Scuba tank packaging, so I'd assume it's the same still. It's a killer watch for the price though! A cheap, really nice looking grab and go beater dive watch.

Hi !
I don’t understand : 2 models are available but 3 models shown in photos.
jonathangNot exactly true, read here https://helpdesk.drop.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019103794-Do-products-purchased-on-Drop-have-a-warranty-
Every ⌚ I've bought here has come completely 🆕 and I've never got a 🍋
If you buy here, you're buying a grey market ⌚ so it's usual that the warranty is not as good as with an authorized dealer and in my case I would not use the grey market warranty, but rather I would pay any service that may be needed.
So make your calculations... Hope for the best but plan for the worst... If the cost of the ⌚ ➕ service < buying from authorized dealer... Go for it 👍🏻

jonathangThere are no manufacturer warranties on grey market watches. If you want a full manufacturer warranty, you pay the full manufacturer retail price at an authorized dealer.
You can disregard the outdated claims of lower prices elsewhere (down below), at least until someone posts a current link relevant to today's (1-12-20 drop).
Meantime, MD's price for the BN0151-17L Blue Rubber strap version (my choice) at $159 beats both eBay and Amazon pricing, by a wide enough margin to make this a legit deal--for patient divers.Of course, for very patient divers--there's always next Black Friday ;- )
Sounds to me like you just want to play it safe! It's true; not everyone has the stomach or backbone to order stuff on MD!
You need nerves of steel, and you must be absolutely fearless!Any Nancy-boy can buy a watch on Amazon--MD is for the real men!!!
I bought the blue BN0151 version a few months back as a weekend / beater / swimming watch. Ironic to own a really nice automatic Longines 300m diver that I avoid getting wet... Back to the Citizen, the value proposition is rather impressive: esthetics, lume, accuracy, charge it and forget it power source. There are a few cons that can addressed: the factory blue strap really lets it down (rather stiff and generally cheap feeling), the lug width at 20 mm is a bit small in proportion to the dial diameter, the crown tip (not the knurling) had some rough edges around the logo. I ended up getting a blue 22 mm Borealis rubber strap (Isofrane is another option) that I notched to fit the lugs. A bit of fine polishing using 3000 grit fixed up the sharp edges on the crown in 5 minutes. I also attached a couple of grainy iPad pictures for reference.
As many have already pointed out, Amazon Black Friday with full Citizen warranty was a better deal. But the Drop price is not that bad for such a good product.
MaxT7Good choice and creative solutions/mods; as the saying goes: "the good Lord helps those who helps themselves!"

Citizen needs to up their game. 200 bucks for a run of the mill quartz diver without sapphire crystal? I can get a quartz Alba for way less than half that meets these specs. Where's the love?
