Got my shipment to fulfill. Thanks to Ava in customer service who facilitated the shipment! These are great books.
The last shipment brought the total received to 5 to complete the 5-pack. While this was a bit of a mess, it's reassuring that Massdrop took care of the problem and made it right.
my payment was refunded after my last ticket but i still wanted to other sketchbooks and did not ask for the refund in the first place dose this mean that i will not be receiving them?
4 weeks since last update. Any news?

No clue yet to if the books came or not since UPS hasn't delivered the package yet...
Guys, for real - it's been some time now - can you give us something more to go on here? At least if you been in contact and secured our items or what?

We have sent out an email to all community members who participated in this drop stating due to a fulfillment error, members are receiving less amount of units than expected and we appreciate those of you that brought it to our attention. 
We are sincerely sorry about this issue and we are currently working to send the replacement units as soon as possible. Once we have a solid date as of when these sketchbooks will be ready to ship we will update everyone affected by this error.

Also just got ONE book and not the five I paid for. What the heck is up guys? The order to the distributors messed up or something?
yup - received only one notebook - with 5 pack promised at purchase! darn... think I'm done with Massdrop.
So, anybody that got hosed by Massdrop and only got one book is getting told "too bad" and getting some money back. I thought there used to be a limited amount of overstock purchased for just such problems or lost shipments. This was a really great deal. I wonder how many people aren't getting what they ordered?

It sounds like all of us got only one rather than the 5-pack described. My only reply from Massdrop so far has been " Due to the nature of your inquiry, this ticket has been forwarded over to a specialized team to better assist you. ".

I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and I'd be more than happy to work on correcting this. Unfortunately, there is no extra inventory available to send as a replacement. Our business model is based on group purchases, so we do not have the ability to procure individual replacements from the vendor at this time. This means that we can only offer a refund for this order.
I still think that there should be a better way to fix this other than refunding the money.
@Liz I submitted a support ticket, but figured I'd ping you also. I received my order for this drop, and there was only one notebook. As this said a 5-pack, I'm a bit confused.

A _lot_ of clarification is needed on this drop. From googling around, it appears that the side-stitched notebook with a secondary flap is 48 sheets (96 pages). At the same time, the black thing on your pictures here shows a sketch*pad*(top-bound pad), not a sketch*book* (side-bound). Maybe it's the sketch*pad* that is 120 pages (60 sheets)? But no, this picture - https://massdrop-s3.imgix.net/product-images/clairefontaine-flying-spirit-sketchbooks/vp2N1y9jSy6W3eDkCHpN_361A9177.jpg (apparently of a sketch*pad*, the top-bound black one) says that it has 50 sheets (100 pages).
So what exactly is it that is being offered on this drop?? What is this 120-pages mystery page count that doesn't seem to be corroborated either by the pictures of the product or reviewers around the internetz?
I seriously think Massdrop should start working better on product descriptions. I regularly stumble upon errors or self-contradictory descriptions. Copypaste from similar drops seem to rule the day. I have no confidence that if the drop is called "sketch*books*", that I won't be sent topbound sketch*pads*, which I have no use for.

Alright, we figured out where the confusion is coming from here.
Clairefontaine offers this size sketch paper in two different formats, which is what is pictured here. The Brown cover is a sewn-spine "sketchbook", which has 60 sheets of paper (120 pages). The Black cover is a top glue-bound "sketchpad" with 50 sheets (100 pages). These two different styles are the same price from Clairefontaine, allowing artists to select their preferred format.
TLDR: if you want a sewn-spine sketchbook with more pages that cannot be easily torn out, choose the brown cover. If you want a sketchpad with easy to remove pages, choose the black cover.
I hope this helps clear things up! We are working now on adding clarity to the description, and thanks for flagging this!
