I love these notebooks, but prefer a graph layout. Would have joined drop if not for that.
Another drop for clairefontaine when the last one has not even shipped yet. From JUNE 2nd.
These need to come in blank and dotted. I find that there is no adequate replacement for Moleskine in the following combination: softcover, blank, with an elastic closure, at least 90 sheets. Rhodia have now started manufacturing softcover Rhodiaramas, but they are either ruled or dotted (dotted is a compromise I'm willing to make), and they are only 80 sheets. And, of course, no such combination exists in white paper. I'm just wondering what would cause "alternative" manufacturers to have such a persistent blind spot (I presume that since Moleskine manufactures those, they _are_ being bought).

Not softcover (one of the essential requirements), and paper is not white (a secondary requirement).
Believe me, I've looked all over. Making do with various notebooks that don't meet these requirements. And a Habana is too expensive for something that doesn't reach the ideal ;)
I know this post was from a long time ago, but I love the softcover B5 notebooks under the generic "artists loft" label at Michaels. Softcover, elastic band, plenty of pages, and the paper works well with fountain pens. They come in blank, dot, and lined. Check the coupons and you can usually score one for about $6.
Once again Massdrop screws a potentially good deal with outrageous shipping charges for something that barely weighs 1 pound.
Just get them from CultPens if you are in Europe. Even if you are not they have excellent shipping prices. Clairefontaine has great paper quality and they are my current go-to manufacturer for paper.
I would love to see some French ruled (Seyes) paper in A4 here. I guess I'll have to order it from France!
These are great, have plenty, but Tomoe River blows it out of the water!! The colours of the ink pops, its way thinner ... it's almost unbelievabl.
How much is the shipping?

Is it staple, glue or sewn bound??? My purchase will definitely be made if its sewn bound.

Yup... that's the reason I was posting it :)
These look pretty interesting. So the paper is the same as in the cloth bound Clairefontaines usually offered?
