Hello @Gert-Jonel ,
For this question, you would need to check with Massdrop customer service. CM only ships the items to Massdrop. It is Massdrop that ships it out to you all so they would be best able to answer that question.
Thank you
Ken
hearfPfft. It's not a problem at all. I have MX blues and reds that I'm entirely happy with... But you know, More clickies isn't an issue. I'm thinking about converting a few friends by letting them try out the tester :p.
Is there any way to get cheaper shipping on this? Iunno, ship it with another drop I'm participating in? $7.70 shipping for an $11 item is somewhat painful..
BrandinIn a directly wired keyboard, you don't need the diodes, a common ground will work just fine. I would also encourage some ribbon wire for a less-shit look.
Got mine today, one issue I had was when I was removing the keycaps to also test my O-Rings on the switches, the keycap on the clear was harder to remove than the others, so much that the clear switch completely came out. I can put it back in no problem and it still works fine as a switch tester, but is this a common problem with clear switches on actual keyboards?
AndrogynousThey're pretty well known for doing that. I believe the general consensus when it comes to changing they keycaps on the clears is to use them and "break them in" if you will, for a couple weeks.
We reached out to the vendor earlier this week and they have been out of the office due to the holiday season. Not to worry as we plan to have a call with them First thing Monday morning and plan to update the group before the end of the same day. Rest assured that we will coordinate this drop and get these in and out to you as soon as we can.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 12/1 or sooner if something comes up.
