Am I missing something? Been thinking about this one. $69.99 seems like a decent deal for this knife. Cheapest I've seen it is about $80 + shipping elsewhere. Not bad for MD lately. I do like the CS Triad Lock knives.

not made the same steel of cts xhp .if you find one for that price with that steel please ,i really mean it ,please let me know, espadas are made of a different steels and its hard to find cts xhp for that price , and i missed out, bummed,thanks. i would pay 70

‘Taste-specific’! That’s exactly the right compound word for this! Most people go for the XXL Espada Pocket Sword because that awkward handle is finally decently in-scale for two-handed use. But @Omniseed , you nailed the right word for sure! (...cuz Good Manners will take you far, my son...)

WhichwaydidheGoCan’t comment on the ergos but there will be YouTube reviews of this knife. Cold Steel normally makes comfortable But usually large handles for their knive. (I have 5 models and the ergos are excellent on all).

I like the CS knives that I have, fixed and folding. There ads are, well, around the side......?? er..... under the bottom. No. That's not it. Oh! I remember...over the top.

The design is not for me, but g10 and 3.5 inches of xhp in a very robust knife for $70 is a really good deal.

Had to be a mix up somewhere, because it took me 10 minutes at Google to find this supposed exclusive grey G10 scaled blade. I have given MD much wiggle room with their drops. I can't on this one, they "dropped" the ball here lol

TravyTravI believe, a while back, this was one of those "limited time" releases from CS (IOW, an excuse just to charge a bit more :). They did the same with the Talwar. You can pick them up on the secondary market now though. So, not exclusive to Massdrop, and IMO anyhow, not really a "limited" release.

So I do want to pick this up, but honestly the standard Espada just isn't enough knife for my edc. I need more blade for my day to day usage, such as going to the mall to look at their selection of tac force knives. Any chance we could get the XL instead?

I recently picked up a Recon-1 in XHP at SMKW. My other XHPs include a Rawles Voyager XL, a miniLawman, a large Holdout (6"), and an AK-47. I had been looking for the Recon for a couple of years now. That completed my XHP needs. If I had fewer, than I would have been on this like a duck on a June bug. CTS-XHP is very good steel. I have been pleased with my CS folders. The Kudu's are iffy until I remember that they were $5.00 apiece. This knife is a great deal. If you are OK with the looks, I am more than happy to vouch for CS quality on knives like this. You should get one.
