It is fused on pieces of fabric like a collage. The pattern includes a full size picture which you trace into gusabke webbing. Then you fill with small pieces of fabric. After it's all ironed down you can go over to secure by machine. I wouldn't say it is a portable hand project.
Not a deal for me. I just want the squirrel pattern. To be honest I think it is way overpriced regularly for what it is. Just a large paper outline and basic instructions. I don't need a $20 book to tell me how to fuse appliqué. Can you just sell the pattern reduced?
this is my first experience with massdrop....I wish they would give this product more visibility so it had a better chance of making...you have to search for it now to even see it....
busybee17do not know for sure, but I'm pretty sure you do NOT need an embroidery attachment. I believe it's done with free motion sewing using a thicker thread. That is my guess. I'm excited to learn! It's really cute!! Hope this drop happens.
momsconeThanks! I checked with a quilt shop. It can done on machine like thread painting or by hand. I'm happ, need hand work while caring for new grand baby:)
