I purchased mine in a drop about a year ago. I have been really impressed with it's heft and durability. I use it about once a week during the winter to make a big pot of beans or to braze a piece of meat.
This dutch oven has been the best addition to my kitchen since I started cooking with a cast iron skillet.
This thing is built like a tank, and had been a great addition to my kitchen. The bottom is dead flat, and the lid fits well. No sign of chipping or cracking of the enamel after a year of use. (I have tried to use wood/silicon implements when scraping inside, but the rest of the household have used whatever comes to hand ). It also looks great, in my opinion.
The only possible negative is that it weighs a ton (especially with lid on), but that is probably the case for any equivalent piece of cast iron. I've never owned a quality Dutch oven before, so can't give a detailed comparison with Le Creuset, Staub etc.
Very smart packaging too, in case anyone is giving it as a gift.
