Is this cork treated with ScotchGuard, and pre-treated against abrasion and UV damage? Other suppliers' cork is this way. Due to how "inexpensive" this seems, I doubt it?!!??!?!

As a bag maker and purchaser of cork fabric, that is what it is called. Don't change the description.

Highly Disappointed, Just received, The Cork was squished into a box to short for the item. As a result there are creases in it. Massdrop, use the correct sized box or don't sell.

Hi All,
Here's what I heard back from the vendor regarding the Cork.
The production consists by adhering thin slices of natural cork onto a PU fabric. The product is very flexible, soft and resistant. The cork fabric can be used for he same applications of leather or textiles. The Majority of the raw and auxiliary materials used in the production of our cork fabrics is of natural origin. Additionally, synthetic materials are used to achieve certain product characteristics, such as the gold accents. For the production of the cork fabric no heavy metals or their compounds, organic solvents, mineral fibers or formaldehyde are used.

The product is made by Ever Sewn. It is made in Italy. I am still waiting on information regarding the backing but will post as soon as I know. Thanks for you patience!

SandyLucasNot a fan of Ever Sewn cork fabric. It is not a nice as the surface pro Cork. Would never use Ever Sewn cork for any type of sewing project that requires a lot of wear and tear.

MM Cork Supply in British Columbia, Canada, is the best place for cork, IMO. Loads of colors and patterns!

Who is the vendor? Maybe we can check their website to get more info. Though I do think that PU backing is what is used on the back of vinyl that is sold by the yard.

People are concerned about the backing because it isn't a fabric backing. Can you please clarify as to quality and in comparison to other cork on the market?

Unfortunately, I can't give you a quality comparison as I haven't seen this cork up close to other cork on the market. And even if I had, coming from me it might be considered unbiased if I gave the cork on here a better review. Hopefully someone else in the community can answer your question.
