Maratac Pocket Grappling Hooks

I tried and mostly failed to use this grappling hook twice. The first time, I tried to get a branch off the roof of my garage. The grappling hook stuck right under a shingle, so then I had to climb on the roof to get it out to prevent damage to the roof. The second time, I had a large dead branch hanging in a tree in my yard. I tried to use this grappling hook to pull it down safely. The result was quite the opposite. I pulled a bit harder than I should when the dead branch got stuck on some other branches, and the grappling hook came rocketing straight for me, and embedded itself in my big toe. It hurt a lot and took a few weeks to heal. During the same debacle, I snapped all but one of the tines off, so I now have a single-tine grappling hook that has tasted human flesh.

"Oh did your hat get blown away by some wind, what it's on that 'ledge' over there?? .. lemme get out my grappling hook... "What? you're saying those tiny branches are 'in your way'?, here, lemme get this grappling hook out... "Wait a minute, you're now telling me you dropped your umbrella in the mall fountain on the level below us??, I got just the thing..." Ps, ex-mil here and in reality, the military does provide its troops with everything necessary... lol.... unless youre engaged in desert/jungle warfare and are surrounded by everything lethal and just have nothing to get yourself out of that situation other than that trusty grappling hook specifically designed for that moment. (I just had to come back and write that in there, sorry...)
