Lightweight, sweat-proof, and unobtrusive, the Creative Outlier Sports Bluetooth Headphones are great for a workout, hike, or jog. They’re IPX-4 certified, too Read More
I wanted to chime in here on these. I have had 4 pairs of these since they first came out. I love my Creative Labs hardware and was excited to hear about these. They sound good, decent battery life, more like 9-10hrs instead of the 11hrs. HOWEVER, the reason I have had 4 pairs is that the battery keeps dying on me. I am a heavy user, I would use them about 2-3hrs a day, everyday at the gym. Yes that means I would go to the gym everyday. They are not the greatest with cancelling out sound. I do get feedback whenever I jog with them, that's just the wire bouncing. They do not always work with media controls with something like Google Music. or YouTube. I use mine with a Galaxy S6 Active. I want to recommend these, but I cannot. I've been using these since Feb.
RulotherAdding another response! Got a pair for 1/2 off on Amazon during a sale, they lasted 3 months and died. Got a replacement, 2 months and died. I want to add they are definitely not sweat proof. I ended up getting a pair of wireless earbuds off Amazon for about 45$ that are truly waterproof. I am very disappointed with Creative's customer service as I did everything on my end. I will never buy headphones/earphones from Creative again after this experience. That being said I am still a huge fan of their PC Hardware components.
Got these in the last drop, been using them for a few days, primarily at the gym. Here are my thoughts:
Pros:
- They hold very well in my ears and isolate a good amount of ambient noise
- Little to no static, only noticeable when nothing is playing
- Sound is decent. As with all Creative products, the bass hits hard, which is great for the gym.
- Battery life is great - I've probably used them for a total of 8-9 hours and haven't needed to recharge
- Very stylish, look great (I have the midnight blues, which just happen to match my gym shoes woohoo!)
- They pair very quickly
- The range is decent - about 15ft until you get stutters
- The controls work great. I haven't yet gotten any accidental blasting music in my ear instead of skipping a song
Cons:
- The sound is a tad muddy compared to what I'm used to (I use ATH-M50 headphones and Sony MH1C IEMs), but again, these are activewear iems and aren't complaint worthy
- The arms that hold in your ear can get a little uncomfortable after long duration of usage, or if your ears are moving a lot (weirdly enough, talking, smiling, and laughing affect this)
If you're looking for a good pair of bluetooth IEMs with decent sound, good battery life, fit well, and look great, these do a bang up job!
Side note: I'm hoping these have a bit of a burn in time, so I may report back after ~30 hours of usage
btimupUpdate: After using them for roughly 24 hours, there's not noticeable change, but my brain has gotten used to the sound, which is just peachy.
My ears have gotten used to the rubber arms which are no longer causing any discomfort whatsoever.
Love these things - it's really hard to convince myself to pick up my wired IEMs again!
Aculeusit's because of the battery in these, making it a hazardous item and much more expensive to ship. there's other things available internationally.
You might want to read carefully and check out all the specs. If they aren't identical they are VERY close to identical. I know they both use the same bluetooth chip and same battery life. But let me know if you find they are markedly better.
EDIT: Found them in complete Black. http://www.gearbest.com/earbud-headphones/pp_626796.html
I got the T50's for $10 a pair from gearbest. Almost identical to the T1000. I'm not an audiophile but to me these sound great. I want to try the T60's but the specs are almost identical for all of these. For $10 you just can't beat these. My favorite feature is that they are light and the control unit is slim and doesn't annoy me. I have like 5 pairs of all these now. I won't buy another brand at this price point. Oh and the T 50's look killer. Same structure but the piano black is sharp.
One negative to me is the box they come in. It's outstanding. Really slick. But why? Why spend money on that? Only gripe.
