I would suggest the Z version of this card as the extra features you get with this are superfluous. the analog section is pretty terrible. The mic is noisy, and the HPA is weak as well.
That said there is still good reason to buying this card if you're a gamer(Z version is the same as ZxR for this). SBX Pro Studio works through Optical out, which imo sounds better then CMSS2. Meaning you can reap the processing without the nasties of its analog outputs. You could also play with its candy features which change the sound in a fun way when you're bored.

Ritz_CrackerRitz_Cracker, the mic portion is actually rated higher than the Z series card. I'd be interested in hearing about your configuration as you definitely should not be experiencing a noisy mic with the ZxR. If you get a moment please drop me a line at socialmedia@creativelabs.com.
