Stop with the hate.. this rocks I can wear it off belt no issues. Fits my ha d perfectly. I guess most of you must be really little dudes to be complains sooo much about it’s too big the hole is too big... stop!! I’ve beat the hell out of it still keeps an edge. And it’s easy to put edge. Ack on its 80$ not 250$
zenzicThis was designed as a military blade, you're supposed to wear it with operators gloves. I'd use it as a utility knife though. Karambits are basically small, compact, carriable sickles. Nothing better than that for utility IMO.
Not what I thought it would be. Made from questionable steel. Way too large for concealed carry. About all I find it good for is solo training. Not a good karambit at all.
SK-5 is very inexpensive steel. It is roughly equivalent to 1080. I don't see how the associated story concerning the origins of this knife make it worth $85. (If the maker were ESEE, the price would be even higher, even if it was differentially heat treated 1095. ) This price can be found on other sites. I'm still sad about not getting signed up in time for a plain blue FF. But I'm not going to get this on the rebound.
Are these legal to own? My friend used to train with Karambit knives and I want to buy him one as a gift. We live in Ontario but I haven't gotten a clear answer anywhere.
Ah yeah. It was Silat that he practiced. And he has no real need for a utility knife, just something that looks cool. He won't be walking around on the street with one so maybe a knife modeled after the ones in CS would do. Thanks for the suggestions.
This karambit looks sketch.
the story behind this makes no sense. why would a karambit be a good way to commemorate that battle? It was fought in EU not in Southeast Asia.
Also, a giant karambit made of bushcraft blade materials. Who's this supposed to be for??
