Product Description
Great for quick access in emergency scenarios, the Alan Folts–designed Minimalist knife from CRKT is small enough you won’t notice it around your neck, but large enough to tackle taxing jobs: cutting rope, carving wood, and skinning small animals in a pinch. It features a 2-inch blade made from 5Cr15MoV stainless steel, which is easy to sharpen to help maintain a razor-sharp edge Read More
CRKT sells these directly for $39. Why the BS here that the MSRP is over $70? You can get these on Amazon for about the same price as MD without the delay in shipping.
Asdf12345It’s not the first time theyv lied about MSRP.

How on earth could the vendor suggest an MSRP of $75 for this? The knife is under 25$ at the first two places I looked, and the sharpener is at most 15$. Sure that's still a discount, but I think this MSRP is highly misleading. I think MassDrop needs to push back a bit with these inflated "suggested" MSRP.
I love massdrop, a great community allowing us handy discounts for neato stuff we wouldn't be able to justify purchasing. This is not one of those options, as it sits on the shelf at my local big blue box home improvement store for the listed price, no shipping. not today MD, not today
I've owned one of these for a while now - it's a great knife. Unfortunately, I bought it from Amazon at the same price with free Prime shipping; meaning that I got it in two days, instead of the four weeks that it takes MD to get stuff to you.
I've EDC'd this for about 2 months now. It disappears under a shirt and I don't notice it until I need it. The handle design is very comfortable for anything I would use a blade of this size for. I like it, but it is definitely $20 (not $75 lol) knife quality. The blade is soft steel that is easy to sharpen but won't hold an edge. The G10 handle scales are unevenly ground and leave little fibers sticking up even after sanding with 1500 grit sandpaper. MD's price of $22-23 shipped would be close enough to fair market value to justify the extra couple dollars over amazon if I could walk out the store with it the same day. Having to wait a month makes it laughable. Buy from amazon folks.
I'm sceptical about Mass Drop wielding the kinda purchasing power that can compete with big boys stocking same product. Unless it's a niche, specialist product from small manufacturer. MD shld concentrate on sprint run, limited editions, supporting small businesses with the medium sized volume/orders, marketing value they need. Competing with more than just price factor. Get creative with purchasing, collaborations. That said, I've been looking at this blade for a long time but here in UK couldn't justify it. This price beats UK retail or U.S. import price by enough to sign me on. American buyers maybe not so much.
